Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceUnfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn't the best, we found ourselves using our own data for much of the stay. Personally the TV on at breakfast was a little annoying, some music for ambiance would be more preferable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. The location is ideal, down a quiet rue in the 17eme and nearby the main sights and metro with good choice of nearby restaurants. We even went on foot to The Arc de Trioomphe and Eiffel Tower! We found our room to be just as the photos had depicted. It was cozy, romantic and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable, the shower and bath worked well, as did the AC without making any noise. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the young lady at reception who checked us in. Breakfast was appetizing including croissants, pain au chocolats, pain perdu, homemade cake, scrambled eggs, potatoes, fruit juices etc. Kusmi tea as well as coffee were also conveniently available all day for guests. Overall, it was quite a relaxing, pleasant stay that lived up to our expectations.

United KingdomThe shower leaked as there was a seal missing from the bottom of the door. It was also tiny so would've been a struggle for a bigger person to fit. There wasn't much wardrobe space and the room itself was very small. I was only one person so managed but I think it would be quite cramped to fit two people plus luggage in the room. There was no kettle, only a coffee machine, but you could get hot water at breakfast.
Great hotel in a nice neighbourhood (lots of shops, restaurants and good transport links nearby). Nice room, bed was comfortable, appreciated having air conditioning! My room was on the courtyard side and was quiet. Handy to have a safe and coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was fairly good - nice to have scrambled eggs and potatoes offered, though glad I was eating early as by late morning they'd been sat there quite a while. Helpful reception staff and space to leave luggage in a secure room.

SwitzerlandThe bathroom is a bit too small. No elevator and the staircase was too narrow - would be problematic to get to the room with luggage.
The room was nice and clean, with a working AC.

United StatesI did not like that the shower was very small. I am 5’4” 130lbs & it is a very small shower. No early or late check out, but very punctual people.
I loved the area!

NetherlandsRooms, hallways, elevators are a tight fit, but that's shared on the website; in summer the room we had (top floor) will likely become very warm...
Friendly staff who manage the hotel well. I especially liked the location, near the Metro and Parc Monceau and especially in a classic Parisian neighbourhood with bakeries, bistrots, and other local shops. Room is fully equipped in terms of bathroom, desk, views over the rooftops...

United StatesVery satisfied with my stay at Glasgow Monceau! Very cute boutique hotel near the Pont Cardinet metro station literally 10 - 15 min to the main Paris attractions. The rooms are small but all rooms I stayed in Paris before were super small too! This one but small but had a nice layout. The hotel staff was super attentive since the moment we arrived even late at night when we needed some tea or coffee ☕️ Definitely come back on my next trip to Paris!!!

DenmarkThis hotel is good 😊 My room was small, but it was very comfortable. I slept well. The shower keeps falling. This needs to be fixed. Breakfast is decent too. Good coffee, fresh croissants, and fresh scrambled eggs (which is not a given in France). The location is excellent.

United StatesThe room was small but so cozy and romantic. We also got this on a 50% off steal so it was still well worth the money. The shower was not full enclosed so it kind of made a mess but thats the only complaint I have!
I recieved wonderful service from all three gentlemen I talked to at the front desk during my stay. The parking partnership with the close by garage was awesome as well.

HungaryWe booked a room with twin beds (two separate beds), but upon arrival the two beds were united by the bed sheets and covers. For the two beds there was only one quilt so I asked for another one at the reception. I received a quilt and bedding separately, and had to make the bed myself. Additionally, there was a little peek window on the bathroom, and the shower was completely visible from the room. It wouldn’t have been a problem for couples i guess, but as two individuals travelling together, it was an awkward situation.
The hotel is easily accessed by public transportation and the area is great with good restaurants and delis. The vibes are great and the staff was mostly helpful.

United KingdomThe rooms are tiny, some very creative photography used to make them look bigger. There wasn't enough room to walk past the tiny table at the bottom of the bed.
Bed was comfortable enough and room was warm, which was necessary after a cold wet day walking round Paris.

United KingdomSize of the room: The room is far smaller than expected. It is even smaller than the photos provided in the webpage. WiFi: the hotel provides a WiFi service, however, it does not really stable and most of the time, I’m using my own roaming.
Good value. The hotel provide most of the basic necessary. Compared with the price, it is a good stay. Same as expected.
