Fabulous location in town with onsite parking . Wifi was excellent as I had a few work things to do while there. Quiet and host was very friendly & helpful .

Sparce kitchen, kettle would trip the electrics. Could be a little noisy with people using the stairs & room above, but it is an old building so to be expected.

Great location in the centre of this historic D-Day town. Walking distance to the local micro-brewery. Great cycling in the area. Excellent museum in town. More of a village feel in the evening after the day visitors had left.

We coudlnt find any place to have a drink after 9pm - we are not the 'bar' type, but it would have been nice.

If you are thinking of visiting the Airborne museum or the famous church with the parachutist figure, then this location is excellent and very nice with its own car park outside. We didnt have breakfast but you can order it there and had we known we woudl have as the town is very quite in the morning, and indeed from about 9pm when we were there (early May). Glad we stayed.

It is a ground floor apartment and we were quite chilly because we were told we couldn’t increase the temperature to more than 17 degrees C. (63 degrees F.) or it would shut off. The weather was rainy and damp and the outside temperature was in the low to mid 50’s during the day and 40’s at night. So inside the apartment it was cold and there was no way to warm it up. Also, there was no soap or Kleenex, and only a less than half a roll of toilet paper provided. We ended up going to the local grocery store to purchase all three.

The apartment was a short walking distance to restaurants, the Airborne museum, etc. It was clean. It had a refrigerator, microwave and stovetop burners. The owners spoke very little English, but were very nice. The free parking was on site and very convenient.

No curtains in the bedroom so it was quite bright. No hand soap in the bathroom. Quite a lot of noise from the unit above... you could hear every footstep and conversation.

Great location close to the village centre. Secure of road parking for the motorbike. Friendly staff provided a warm welcome.

Just the right size for us - stopping before the ferry, very clean, great shower and comfy bed. Good off street parking and a nice breakfast in sunny conservatory. Cheerful host ! Town is beautiful.

Poor maintenance. Guests upstairs is a nightmare with regard to noise levels. Every step was torture but out 7 nights only 3 nights had guests upstairs. Bathroom needs updating, massive crack in the sink. Shower cubicle very tired. Bed creaked terribly. It all felt cheap, no quality.

Nothing SME is a very quiet town/village and things close early - the places that are actually open. This may have been because we were there a week after the big D-day anniversary and they may have been taking a break. But quiet not such a bad thing as the place was completely charming - there was a market Thursday morning
