How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Small fridge in room would've been nice.
Great place for a stopover on long journey. Easy self check-in. Stayed in family suite which was perfect for our family of 5. Kids bedroom with 3 single beds and double bed in separate room for parents with bathroom/toilet and tea/coffee making facilities, TV in each room also.

The toilet is in a separate room to bathroom and it’s a very small space.
Our second stay here. Great location close to the motorway but quiet and didn’t hear any road noise. We didn’t eat dinner as too tired but we ate there a couple of months ago and it was very good. Great breakfast including scrambled egg and sausage, plus croissants, cereal etc. Very good value. Owners - very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Room was quite hot and stuffy. Motel style and difficult to open window for security reasons. Toilet was very small.

Rooms are rather small. Toilet is very cozy.

WC was a bit cramped, caused a smile or two as we were a bit stiff after travelling from the UK
Bit of an issue when the auto check in refused to work at all, technical error, not us. However we used the emergency contact number and someone popped out and got us checked in manually. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was superb, spent a good night. Very handily the restaurant LEssentielle was on site so a 50 yard walk saw us tucking into a very good meal and of course the same venue foro an excellent breakfast. I'd recommend for a stay if travelling as the access to the Autoroute is also very good.

The toilet is very small. Larger people may find it a little difficult! Also, a bath mat would be good, and perhaps better towels....

Its very basic, but that’s expected.
Good location for a one night stay while on the road. The restaurant and terrace is a nice bonus for this kind of hotel.

The owner was very helpful about us eating our own breakfast in the restaurant with our mother due to our allergies. He was very friendly and helpful on check in too. The restaurant was very close and the food was very good.

The restaurant is closed Saturday night which meant a drive into the town after a long day on the road. The shower and toilet are separate and the toilet is very small and cramped.
The hotel is easily located not far from the A83 motorway. The room was small but clean. The bed was comfy and the area was very quiet. We requested a ground floor room which was directly in front of a grassed area which was perfect for the dog.

Convenient quiet clean and pet friendly
A good stop over between UK and Portugal-just off the motorway- clean and had hair dryer and tea/ coffee making in the room.

Friendly welcome! Very comfortable bed, good to shut out the night and watch the rugby on television. Good breakfast next morning, set us up for the rest of the drive to ferry.

Whilst check in was fairly easy, I hadn’t realised the code for our room was on the receipt and assumed it was the pin I’d been given via email.
Extremely clean, room has everything you need even tissues and kettle.

Friendly welcome. Good hot shower, comfortable bed - appreciated the extra pillows. Good breakfast and a great restaurant for dinner. This was our second stay and won't be our last.
