How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really loved the interior of the apartment. It has been done to a high standard and has everything you would need for your stay. Beds were very comfortable and the flat very spacious. Netflix on the TV was an added bonus. Location was great! Check out was very simple.

Perfect location in the centre of Épernay. Very clean apartment and the host couldn’t do enough to help us. Highly recommended.

There was nothing I didn’t like at this property.
Completely furnished with everything you need to feel at home. Especially enjoyed the information manual.

Nothing, it was all great
Communication with the host was excellent prior to our arrival. The apartment was very nice, well equipped and spacious. The rooms were big and well decorated. Great locations too. I will definitely stay here again!

We did not figure out how the heating works but actually never reported to the host, so that was not a big deal

Everything was great. Kitchen needs a chopping board.

Parking was a little hit and miss outside though the underground parking was conveniently close. Make sure to request a day's permit at the underground parking rather than pay the full amount. Unfortunately the weekend we were there was a beer festival in the local square which meant that the area was noisy with live music and people.
Great location, with shops/restaurants within easy reach. Lovely apartment, with well appointed kitchen and very comfy beds. Really clean overall, with a fantastic shower. Very easy to access the apartment and communication with the host was effortless.

Nothing, everything was perfect.
We loved the stay in this apartment! Very centrally located, very clean, very well equipped, just perfect for us as a group of five girls. Everything in the town is upon walking distance, perfect for a weekend in the Champagne region. Communication with the owner was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Nothing everything was great
Able to check in around 10pm. Parked in underground parking across the street. Very clean apartment. Amenities were great to have such as a coffee maker and refrigerator. Comfy beds. One bathroom near front door. Separate shower, which worked out well for us. Would stay here again as the owner was always available if need be. The thermostat worked it was on the table and didn't know when we visited in October but the owner shared with us what it was and how it worked after a chilly 1st night. We appreciated the quick responses.

Great location, the apartment had everything you could need and was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. Checking in was easy and the communication from our hosts was clear and timely. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to my friends and I would also stay there again!

A side table or 2 would be nice - someplace to set down a cup of coffee when sitting in the living room.
The apartment was close to the center of town as well as shopping and restaurants just across the street. Even the train station was only a 10 minute walk! The beds were comfortable and all the rooms were well- appointed. Everything looked new, in fact. Even though there is no elevator in the building, you only have to go up 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. The owner was very accessible, delivering additional coffee pods within hours of our request for more pods.

There is a speaker right outside the kitchen window that plays music all day, stopping at 7pm - apparently this happens all summer and is throughout the town centre, managed by the town council. The host kindly arranged for the one outside the window to be turned down.

Had issue with heating & no clear instructions of how to work controls. The mattresses and pillows not very comfortable. Would also suggest more lighting for all rooms!
The location is central for touring round town & a short walk to the Ave de Champagne.
