We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech RepublicIt took a while to reach the reception staff when we arrived. The staff were helpful, but communication in English was difficult. Our twin room had very narrow beds and a very small bathroom. The hotel has no air conditioning, and the room was quite hot, so we had to sleep with the window open, which made it hard to sleep due to constant seagull noise.
The hotel is located at the end of the port area in a relatively quiet location. The room was clean and included a kettle. There was a narrow balcony and blackout shutters. We appreciated the option to store our luggage before the check-in time.

Central, waterfront hotel. Large, airy, comfortable room with small balconies over street. Easy, free public parking opposite the hotel. Plenty of bars/cafes/restaurants very near. Pretty, busy working harbour opposite the hotel. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThe shower was blocked by hair preventing it from draining, I was able to fix this but would ask the hotel to perhaps check in future.
The suite we were given was great. The hotel location is fabulous and we enjoyed the restaurant next door for dinner - this is run in conjunction with the hotel. The room was very spacious and had all the facilities we could need. Breakfast had lots of options and was well presented.

United KingdomAt 2am in the morning we were abruptly awakened (Sunday morning) by excruciatingly loud, Ibiza style disco music being played continuously in the street adjacent to the hotel until after 4.30am. With many people in attendance. At 5am bottles started to be loudly collected from the restaurants etc on the street where the hotel was situated. The room had only a kettle, two sachets of Liptons tea and one of coffee and no milk. Very poor.
The hotel in general was absolutely fine, our bedroom (no 1) looking to the port had a good view, the staff were all very good, cleanliness and comfort of bed was also good.. The restaurant was wonderful and the breakfast cafe was very good.

GermanyVery unfriendly. No one at the entry, just a bell. No water (nothing) for drinking available in the room, in the hotel. No chance to buy mineral water in the neighborhood. We booked a table in the hotel restaurant. No info that they closed it. Breakfast was looking poor. Cold eggs. Unfriendly lady (owner).

United KingdomThere is no shelf in the shower for shampoo, shower gel, etc. The door handle to the en-suite was broken. Apart from the bed, the room was very basic. A kettle was provided, but the only socket was on the floor under the dressing table, so one had to kneel down to use it. In our view it was dangerous and not thought about properly. The description of the room as having a view of the port and a balcony is stretching it. The balcony is about 2 feet wide and not possible to put chairs side by side. The view is possible if you lean out over the railing , otherwise don't bother.
We stayed in room 6. Hôtel location. Comfortable bed. Quality bed linen. Excellent shower.
