Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNo aircon/fans: Whilst it’s a budget hotel, it would be nice to offer a fan in the room. However, opening the window was sufficient and kept the room cool. Street Noise: It’s a busy street - you’ll hear noise until midnight or so. However, we slept fine every night of our stay and our room faced the street, so it was not a significant issue. No elevator: If you have mobility issues - the stairs will be a concern for you. However, we were fine (stayed on the top floor).
Great location - close to metro stations, restaurants and grocery stores. Everything you need as a tourist is within walking distance. Good value for money - yes the rooms are small, same size as any other budget hotel. Hot water, good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Fast Wifi throughout the hotel. 24x7 Staff always at the front desk.

FranceThe room doesn’t have air conditioning or a fan, so it can be a bit warm in the summer.
The hotel is only a few minutes from the train station, with excellent access to the main tourist sites. The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful and kind.

Location fabulous near 2 metro lines and in a bustling street full of theatres and restaurants. My room was quiet as facing back, but it was extremely hot as I was next to the boiler room (103) It was also next to the reception so could hear people if they were arriving, but not an issue. Reception 24hrs and have to ring to get in, no lift. Staff polite. Shower room so tiny! Could easily touch all 4 walls! I had a window that I could open so luckily had some breeze, otherwise the room would have been very hot, as I was there during heatwave! I would definitely come back because of location and price. Next to metro lines 13 and 6, one change of metro to airport or to Gare de Lyon

United StatesNo AC...temps were in 90's. A fan would have helped. No elevator...at least 30 stairs to the 1st floor. There was no one at the front desk during our 8:45am departure to help with luggage. Room was small and bathroom even smaller...we made it work. Noise facing busy street outside window with restaurants and vehicle movement
Front Desk responded positively to our request for a bed size upgrade from full to queen. Unfortunately front desk staff was unable to move us to main floor... Received some help with luggage during arrival.... Room was clean and well maintained Rate was better than other properties in the area,...which helped to justify the challenges Proximity to Train Station, restaurants and shopping was excellent

FranceIt is close to a main road quite noisy. Nowhere to sit except on the bed.
There was a person on the desk at all times. Although the room was a little on the small side, this was well compensated by the simple decor and the cleanliness.

FranceThere is a slight sewage smell in the bathroom and the walls are quite thin, so noise from neighboring rooms can be heard. There is no elevator, and the stairs are narrow and slightly uneven, which can feel a bit unsafe. Since the top floor is the 4th floor, going up and down can be a bit tiring. The front desk area is small, so there may be limited space for storing luggage
The hotel is conveniently located near the station. Thanks to a recent renovation, it is easy to use and very clean. The room rates are also affordable, making it a good budget option. My room and bed is big enough for 2

United KingdomThis is an old, narrow townhouse with, I should think, little room for an elevator but, oh my goodness, the stairs! Fit, young things, with a back pack, would find little problem but older, less agile customers, with a suitcase might struggle. I am relieved that I was not on the top floor! However, the reception staff were happy to help with our bags without us having to ask. I had read other reviews which said that there were no disposable cups to drink from in the room and that it was difficult to get a bottle under the tap. This would be a bit of a problem if arriving hot, tired and thirsty - just make sure you have bottles of water with you.
The location was extremely good. No more than 10 minutes from Montparnasse Railway station and about 2 minutes to the nearest metro station. There always seemed to be a pleasant and helpful person on reception and they advertise that reception is open 24/7. We had help with our bags to and from our room and our bags stored after check out until we left Paris later in the day. Although the area could be described as 'lively', my daughter and I felt perfectly safe. For a hotel in central Paris, the price was extremely good and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again.

United KingdomThe rooms and the bathrooms are very, very small and it is difficult to open the windows with the bed in the way! Also, the hotel is noisy with doors slamming shut thorough the morning and night. Perhaps soft close doors to each room would be better?
Great location and a nice quality bed with a powerful and warm shower! Perfectly functional if you are treating the hotel purely as a place to sleep at the end of the day!
