Cleaning cost (EUR 20) were not communicated upfront. Self-cleaning was also offered as possibility, but this is not very convenient when staying only for a 1 night stopover. Cost are understandable, but I’d appreciate being informed while booking.

The house is super clean and well equipped. The host arranged dinner and breakfast for us, which was ideal since we were staying 1 night for a stopover on our way to the south of France.

Nothing! Lovely little place in great area. Enjoyed exploring Langres, surrounding little villages and lakes.

Lovely, traditional style French cottage. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, even bathrobes! Our hosts were welcoming, they had left fresh eggs (from their own chickens), selection of wine and other bits and pieces for us. Including fresh strawberries that we could pick ourselves from their garden. We ordered breakfast delivery, which was worth the cost, lots of quality produce and home made preserves.

for 8 euro extra the host will arrange a nice breakfast in de morning, and for 20 euro a person, we got a 3 cours dinner.

A little inconvenient is the bathroom being downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. Beds were very hard, suggestion to the owners to add a top mattress for the lighter people among us.

a beautifully remodeled small farmhouse, fully equipped kitchen, excellent bathroom. All very comfortable, and only a few kilometers from the freeway.

Staying at Chez Emilie was the cherry on the top after a day that started with skiiing and then travelling home. We made a last moment booking and all was fantastic. Emmanuelle was so kind and welcoming. The house is fantastic and so nicely decorated. With a very nice breakfast we were ready to travel home the other day. Really a place to come back and stay a little longer!!

We stayed in the apartment for a stopover during our trip south. It is well located for a stopover. The apartment is nice and cosy. The host is very friendly and organized a diner and breakfast which we all enjoyed.

This is a lovely little house with a small garden. Clean, comfortable and great value. The host, Emmanuelle, is lovely and provides a fantastic breakfast with home-made provisions. Not to be missed!

It was a little hot overnight in the top bedroom but there was a fan we could have used… Also it’s a shame there is no boulangerie in the village…

The charm of this old house - the photos really don’t do it justice! And it was kitted out really tastefully, a really pleasant place to stay!

The location for us was perfect. We wanted a halfway stop en route to the Alps. Emmanuelle also offered dinner and breakfast which was superb. A really great place to stop. Recommended.

Good location, near the highway and close to the city of Langres. Pancakes are the evening meal provided by the host. Very deliciuos, sweet and savory toppings. Also the breakfast was tasty and suffciant. Vegetarian was no problem. The host is very friendly and quickly responding to messages

This house was perfect for our family. The house is clean, tidy, and great for a family of 4. Emmanuelle has thought of every last detail. There is a lovely private secure garden, which was ideal for our small dog. Communication with Emmanuelle was excellent, and the food was ready for us in the fridge, just what we needed after a long drive. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely return to this delightful house. Emmanuelle is the most lovely host.

Nothing really, although there was building work going on next door. Being an old property the stairs are a little steeper than ‘normal’.

Lovely traditional property, with an interior being a pleasant mix of period and modern. Ideal stopping place on journey to Italy, that isn’t a corporate hotel. Dog friendly. Host customer care.

To leave again after only one very peaceful night and great sleep

Everything. Looking at the tiny facade, opening the solid door and - wow - feeling like home. Entering the house and discovering a very lovely environment. Many but not much decoration with a tangible feeling of the history of the house. We all loved it.
