How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We were cycling the via Rhona and Montelimar is slightly off the route but the hotel was accessible and easy to locate. Secure storage for bikes is available. We had a good breakfast at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located which is convenient to restaurants.

I asked to change the pillow which was vey think and I could not use it. No alternatives at all.

The hotel is old it would need a touch of new. The garage is small and you don't get to have the keys. There were no socket on a side of the bed and one light was not working. The city is a bit dead ..
Very central place. The guy at reception was fine. The price is very good. The bedroom are big the bathroom are also good. There is a possibility of safe parking in a garage.

The triple room is a bit small and there was a very bad smell on the first day. But The staff quickly sorted the issue.
the hotel is conveniently located, next to the train station, a car park and walking distance to the city. The room we stayed in was quiet. The staff was very friendly.

Room decor is a little tired and cheap looking. Intermittent buzzing noise through the night. I'm not sure what it was but I still slept well.
Very friendly and helpful person on reception. Secure undercover parking. Convenient location in Montelimar. Clean bedding and towels. Comfortable bed and effective air conditioning.

No ground floor rooms - all rooms only accessible by steep stairs to upper floors.
Location was excellent opposite the park and walking distance to shops & restaurants . It was very quaint with a lovely dining room. Good air con and garage parking.

The room was quite small with not many facilities. Good for an overnight stay, but short on comfort for anything longer.
The hotel was right in the middle of the town, close to most restaurants, city activities.

On Sunday check in was only possible after 18.00 hours.
Friendly people. A nice old building opposite of a nice park. Very clean and good bed. Great breakfast. Our bicycles were parked in a securely locked small garden/courtyard at the back of the hotel.

Noisy room with thin walls. Unfortunately a smelly bathroom (vinegar cleaning). Beds were mediocre. It is a value for money hotel, but with too little value.
Location is great, centrally in Montelimar. Flexibility by having own entrance card (permanent staff not available)

We had to wait an hour to check in as it was Sunday. But we knew this in advance.
Well located. Clean. Efficient staff. Reasonably good breakfast. Very good and secure storage on the premises for our bikes.

Very accomodating. Secure bike storage providedb6 free, ideal on my bike tour. Super location lots of eating possibilities and parc and train station close by.

Building is old, and it shows in some places.
Great location, close to center and (more importantly for me) train station. Staff was super friendly and remembered me when I returned 10 days later, giving me an upgrade to a bigger room. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Rooms are comfortable and clean, but slightly outdated.

Waste pipes from other bedroom ran through the bedroom we stayed in (Rm 101) and ran near where the headboard USE to exist. Very noisy! Netting at windows and curtains, but curtains did not block out any light, far too thin. Marked carpet. Shower head holder broken, grime around shower base. Decor was very tired, the photos do not reflect the condition of the property. Place felt unloved. Roll on new owners in Sept!
The bed was comfy, good parking, good access to the town.

There was no comfort, a bed only and no place to sit or relax. Both room and bathroom were minuscule, so moving around was difficult.
