How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rooms did not have air conditioning. Shower is very small with a shower curtain. This can make showering awkward. Lock on bathroom door (No.58) was not working
The hotel met our needs. It was very central and close to the restaurants and cafe bars

No tv in the room, no kettle, (since there's nothing in the hotel apart from small reception) some furniture to put clothes and things otherwise its good

The room has no Airconditioner. It is very old building. Most of the rooms have defects like doors not closing, water not heating. Hopefully they renovate soon and add airconditioner.
Really nice evening staff. Location is 12mins walk to Grotto. Not too far from everything like restau, bus stops, shops

Check everything in your room once you arrive. Here are the common flaws: 1. The toilet door is not closing properly. Most toilets are really small. Just 1 sqm for everything - shower, toilet, and sink. 2. The shower door is not closing or incomplete, like only half of the door is attached. 3. Lights in the toilet and the room - some are not working and some are too dark. It will light but not fully.
They upgraded my room and given me the largest room. In each floor there is one large room with large toilet. Ask if you could request for this if you booked a twin room.

The location is just near the Grotto. The evening staff is really nice. They will change the room in case you have a problem in your assigned room as long as you haven't used the towels. The price is cheap but take note that they don’t have airconditioner. You can request to change your room with a balcony. Their smoke detector is working. Avoid smoking even in the Balcony as respect to everyone staying in the hotel. They have microwave and allows you to use plates and utensils.

Very bad organisation with parking, the gate is locked at night, nobody is on reception, only from 8 am... if you will need to go away earlier, it can be a big problem

Break fast was a waste of money as it was served with juice, 1 croissant for each person and bread with Jam/Butter then tea/coffee as it was served limitation on what you can eat, I wouldn’t recommend breakfast in here .
Value for money, Near to grotto. The room is a bit rundown and outdated, the radiators and shower rooms are ancient. The view from the room is fantastic.

The decor is pretty tired and the sound insulation isn't great
The view of the river and the balcony in the morning sun. The heating certainly works. It wasn't expensive.
