How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything! Location - easy access to motorway, quiet and near a fantastic resturant. Host - extremely helpful, offering secure storage for electric bikes. Very friendly while not being intrusive. Room- beautiful, great bathroom, fantastic decor. Breakfast- above average continental with home made jams and yoghurt. Great stopping place for the ferries and tunnel

Our host was welcoming, warm and very attentive to our requests. The property is wonderful, and the interior design, furniture and layout all made the stay a real pleasure The breakfast was excellent, including a number of Gluten-free options which was really appreciated. Thank you!!

There wasn’t anything to dislike
Nothing was too much trouble for the host . We arrived very late .. they waited to greet us . The house has been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean .

More hot water for the shower
The house has been renovated to a very high standard, using generally old items all of which blend together perfectly. The shower by contrast was ultra modern, it used so much water that are third shower was just about cold, there was a sort of note about this. In the morning a very nice French breakfast was served. Good carparking spaces. Just 8 miles from fantastic beaches and loads of restaurants.

All good.
We had a very warm welcome from Sophie with a much needed cup of tea. Domainen Les Tilleuls is an interesting grand village house, impeccably restored and updated and with large mature garden. Wonderful hot shower and very comfortable bed. Secure parking (electric gates) is easy and is accessible from a side road safely off the main road. Sebastien hosted our comprehensive continental breakfast and also went to the trouble to provide me my decaffeinated ground coffee. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Breakfast was OK but no guidance on what was available or where the breakfast buffet was located. We are tea drinkers like many English but we could not find any "breakfast tea".

Although I didn’t plan to eat in the room, the written prohibition to do it, felt a bit weird:)

the jacuzzi could have been hotter, was a little cool at 32c, would have been better at 36c, plastic cups and water provided, would have been a nice touch for throw away bubbly glasses and a bottle of fizz.
room was large and the bed comfortable, parking was secure, the gardens were lovely. the jacuzzi and sauna were very nicely done and a reasonable price breakfast was nice, though limited, have had better

A lovely old manor house on the edge of the village of Wailly Beaucamp which is an ideal position to travel to and from England. The room was spacious with lovely views over the garden. A large modern bathroom and large bed. Breakfast was excellent, fresh bread and lovely croissants.

Can't fault anything.
Great place to stop if you've booked for Le Shuttle the following day, and easy drive. Breakfast was great, room was great. All of us really enjoyed our stay.

There is nothing we could fault there! The only thing is you need to go to Montreuil sur Mer for dinner, but it is quite quick. The only local restaurant was closed during our stay.
A beautiful house with very spacious bedrooms, full of style and very comfortable. A warm and professional welcome. Very nice breakfast too! We stayed for 2 nights and loved it.
