NetherlandsWe expected a small hotel, while this is typically larger scale, more suited for business, conferences, weddings or team outings.
A nice little chateau, our room was in a building next to it. Very spacious and luxurious room with a beautiful large bathroom. The restaurant was closed that evening but they did offer a "standard all at once meal" to be booked at check-in and we could order wine with it. Not wanting to drive to the next town, we ordered it, thinking we would have a tray of airplane food. It was indeed served all at once and we had to pour our own water and wine, but it was on a large silver platter and the 4-course meal was excellent. Breakfast (very good) at the back of the chateau overlooking the pond and gardens was very nice.

United KingdomThere were so many flies. Flying all over our tables, in our faces, everywhere. And there was nothing in place by the hotel to stop them. There are very simple whirling table devices that can be bought very cheaply. The hotel could have used them for dinner and breakfast. Maybe some fly strips? Ugly but effective We arrived 2 hours early, 2pm for an 4pm check-in and were shooed away. “Go and take a walk around the grounds”. Often hotels allow you in if your room is ready. It clearly was. We saw the cleaners walk off/ packing up. Shame we weren’t offered something more, perhaps to buy a drink in the bar?
Relatively basic buffet breakfast available. Coffee, juices, yogurt, pastries, and some egg too. The nicest part was to sit outside in the early morning sunshine. Very pleasant. The evening meal was served in a small courtyard. Delicious food, very well presented and served. Lovely helpful and accommodating staff.

United KingdomOnly complaint was no milk for hot drinks in the morning. A mini fridge would have been ideal for cold water and beverages as we were travelling through the country. Somewhere to keep water cool for an onward trip would have been good.
Lovely property with beautiful views. A warm feel to the place with modern rooms. Fantastic restaurant and quaint courtyard dining. Everything was perfect. Two dogs with us and we arrived to a dog bed, treats and bowls. Great walks around the grounds and lake for the dogs too. Very friendly staff.

What an exceptionally beautiful property. I think it was recently renovated to a high standard- good quality fittings and furnishings. Comfy rooms and really good size. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Dog friendly! Lots of parking. A 15 minute drive to local town with great food places if the restaurant is closed. Delicious breakfast.

PortugalRestaurant closed on Sundays but the staff arranged food trays that we ended up eating in a conference room where we met many other guests in the same situation, all of us around a huge table which ended up to be a very lively dinner with everyone participating in the conversation! The hotel should have a nice bar area to allow some food when the restaurant is closed or if people want a lighter option. It seems to be more oriented to meetings and events and it lacks an atmosphere more oriented towards individuals.

FranceNobody explained that you have to carry all your luggage from the parking to the hotel which is not practical as there are a lot of stones and far from the entrance of the hotel, so me as a woman alone with my two children and a small dog had to do everything alone ,as help was refused by the reception. The young lady at the reception was rude.

United KingdomThe coffee. Wherever I go I need good coffee. A proper coffee machine is definitely needed in the restaurant and maybe little pod coffee machines in the bedrooms too. Also conditioner as well as shampoo in the bathroom.
