    It was incredible

We thought Saint-Tropez would be the highlight of our trip, but nothing compared to our stay with Paul and Valerie in Grasse. Their home is pure magic—immaculate, cozy, full of charm, and set on a breathtaking property with a natural cold spring and sweeping views. Every meal was made from ingredients grown right there on their land. You could taste the love in every bite. Paul even picked us up from town and gave us a tour of the gardens—something he didn’t have to do but did with joy. The history, the setting, the people—it was unforgettable. Paul and Valerie are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and warm. This stay will forever be the reason we return to the South of France.

Be aware that like all nice properties in Grasse, it is off a narrow windy hilly road.

This is a cool old bastide that was previously owned by the French Red Cross as a sanatorium for children with tuberculosis. The rooms are quite large, with stunning views over the valley. Sheets are linen, locally sourced. The house is full of the family’s collection of antiques. The best part is the host, Paul. He welcomed me into his family and took good care of me. The breakfast each morning was the best meal of the day. I particularly recommend the lemon confiture on a croissant.
