We loved the stunning view from our window, the breakfast set up with local cheeses and fresh eggs and the very friendly staff that even let us have a shower ( after we checked out) in their spa after our hike - we truly appreciated it!

We booked this excellent hotel for a bridging night between skiing in Les 2 Alpes & Serre Chevalier. The proprietor, Kirstie, was so welcoming and told us a lot about the interesting history of the hotel, which is full of original 1930s items. Our room was clean, warm and very comfortable, with spectacular mountain views. We enjoyed our dinner, and the buffet breakfast was great, with a large choice, including local produce. Highly recommend.

The staff were really lovely and very helpful. I didn't know how to use some of the appliances and they came over to help. The breakfast was really good with a lot of choices and we especially liked the pain au chocolat.The bed was really comfortable and large. The pool was great to jump into at the end of the day and there was also a gym available. All in all a really good stay.

The staff were brilliant ! Top marks plus food ‘ ambience extraordinary! We got snowed in & the staff were brilliant evacuated us all with snow ploughs chains etc all very exciting !

Room design in 2 levels was surprizing and made the our stay less comfortable, this may not be true to everybody. there is no fridge in the room (not included in room specifications). The hotel is located away from any other restaurant. When entering the spa we almosed tripped into a missing deck section on the right. This hazard need to be treated. Some more livelyhood of the lobby would have been a nice addition.

Great staff that helped pleasently when ever we needed something. Breakfast is a bit more than basic and was sufficint for our needs. Parking was comforatable and the restaurant was at decent quality. The spa is nice addition to our stay. Not fancy but very relaxed.

The location is perfect, quiet and with amazing views. Dinner was perfect: the medium-high price is overcompensated by the food's high quality and large quantity. Breakfast is varied, with excellent products and a very pleasant setting: fresh bread, very tasty butter, fine, well aged cheese and good jam really made a difference! We particularly appreciated the personnel enquiring more than once about the food: kindness, and smiling gentleness aren't THAT widespread, elsewhere. 🙂 The Spa is well organised, hammam and sauna are clean and confortable, and the swimming pool is also very pleasant. The architecture of the building follows a revised and larger-than-usual mountain style: lots of wooden structures, but top comfort both in private and in common areas. We drove quite a few times in front of it, stopping now and again at its excellent brasserie, so we were particularly happy this time to be able to stop for the night for a special family occasion... Again a great "thank you" to the management and all workers: receptionists, cooks, waiters, and waitresses all did an excellent job!

Other staff not helping at all: at the arrival we entered in the restaurant and the staff asked to go out again and enter the hotel, while we were with a baby, a very windy and cold weather outside - after that we discovered there was the possibility to go from restaurant to hotel from inside At breakfast in the second day the lady didn't speak english, but asked us if we wanted a baby chair: we said yes but everything stopped there, she didn't bring it. The room wasn't very clean, the bathroom was full of yellow drops on the walls: I don't know what they were and I don't want to know, I just know it shouldn't have yellowish drops on the walls close to the WC.

Nothing, all was amazing

Local food, local beer, fabulous hosts. A family run hotel with a fascinating history and superb surroundings both inside and out. They couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and the spa facilities were very welcome at the end of a long travel day

The hotel totally exceeded our expectations. It had a very relaxing feel to it, being genuine and comfortable with no pretences of being swish and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing information of suitable walks and details of the EV charging attached to the building. The restaurant, although not flash, met all our needs. Good quality and good value. Very good beer!
