We were transiting to Lyon airport and stayed overnight. Was really comfortable, well located and friendly staff. Had parking on site and walking distance to the town with restaurants.

Wow. Everything. The nice lady, the breakfast, the room. Everything was just amazing. I wasn‘t even charged for motorbike parking. So lovely. The lady spoke English and was very understanding with my French :)

Clean and fresh decor. Friendly welcome by Madame and her daughter. Comfortable bed, smart wet room shower. Good breakfast. Madame booked us an excellent restaurant just 15 mins walk away, Fleur de Sel. Highly recommended. We also enjoyed a drink at one of the many nice bars in the cobbled streets. V nice little town.

Paying for parking ( though gated , because the entrance to the hotel was ) on the gravel driveway next to the hotel.

Very nice room , very clean and comfortable, we were upgraded to a pool room . The host kindly removed the pool cover so I could swim which was very refreshing after a long drive. The hotel is situated in a built up area, but on site feels rural. Continental breakfast was nice

I think the bed was too small, would be nicer if was bigger. The bathroom did not have a proper door, it was just a glass between the bedroom and bathroom, so if you use the toilet you have no privacy as you can hear everything hehe. Also, if you have a warm shower it makes the whole bedroom very humidity.

The staffs were amazing. Specially the receptionist. She was very warm and helpful and made the whole experience much better. Breakfast was great. Pool and the garden was great to hang out during the day and evenings.

As lovely as it was a few days previously. Ideal for a stopover a couple of hours away from the Bourg St Maurice resorts. Swimming pool closed for obvious reasons at this time of year, but it looked lovely for the summer. Quiet part of town, but within a few minutes walk of plenty of bars and restaurants.

Lovely independent hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Perfect stopover within a couple of hours of the ski resorts the next morning. Short walk into town for a good choice of restaurants. Very clean, spacious room.

I booked a superior room with a balcony view of the garden. An email from the hotel advised we could only have a standard room by the pool (I can let you have a copy of this email) I was disappointed we could not have the balcony room but accepted it. We stayed in a standard room by the pool with two single beds pushed together not a queen bed HOWEVER we were billed for the superior room The manager was quite stern and rude when I questioned it... So we paid as I didn't want her to upset my husband who recently had heart surgery and I could not risk him becoming upset.

When we arrived, the proprietor told us the room we had booked (large room next to the pool) had been allocated to other guests. We were given a small room on the second floor (no elevator) instead. (Why hadn't we been informed prior to our arrival? No answer.) During our stay the hotel was untidy. Guests using the pool had left their clothed & towels all over the place. There was food stored in the corridors. The landing stairs were covered in linoleum. There was a hole in the floor of ourbathroom. The breakfast room was turned into a treatment room after breakfast (the Thai Paralympic team was staying here). There was a very limited bar service, and this was closed after 8 p.m. The breakfast was entirely Thai, no eggs, bacon, bread, butter or jam. The facilities did not look at all like the photos on the hotel's web site. The hotel had no restaurant, and the restaurant recommended by the proprietor was a long walk away in a not very attractive art of Bourgoin. We had stopped here on the way to Italy, and were planning on staying here again on the return trip with our son's & daughter's families. We didn't!

Main issue is that most of the hotel was booked out to a Thai sports team preparing for the Paralympics. The hotel should not have accepted other guests. We were told on arrival that breakfast would be “Thai” only and we had no choice. The sports team’s belongings were littered across the outside spaces with laundry hanging up over all the public spaces. Our objection was not to the team itself, they were lovely, but the hotel just simply should not have allowed other bookings or at least should have informed us in advance and given us a choice to cancel and seek an alternative booking.
