How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathroom was extremely small and difficult to manoeuvre around without hitting an elbow on a wall or door etc, however that is what is to be expected in an historic city like Paris.
The location was great, within walking distance to everything ie; Metro, bars, restaurants, shops etc. We caught the train from CDG to a station within a 5 min walk to the hotel, avoiding an expensive taxi fare. The bed was very comfortable and always had a good nights sleep, with little to no external noise. The staff were very friendly and nice to have a 24hr front desk.

Lack of any information on the area which could have been a problem for anyone visiting Paris for the first time.
It’s position in the surrounding thriving community and proximity to the cathedral where I went on an organised tour. Easy walking access to the river, restaurants and a wonderful musical gift shop on the same street.

The decor is quite… strong. Also the hall lights flickered constantly. Would be very bad for someone who was sensitive to that eg epilepsy.

Bathrooms are not very private from the bedrooms. Breakfast was ok but we did better at cafes nearby.
Location is amazing. Very convenient to walk everywhere and 2 metro stations close by. Lots of good food in the area.

Bathroom was small and the shower flooded terribly. The ugliest thing in the hotel was the carpet and wall coverings in the corridors of floor 4. Nylon fabric depicting cobblestones which really let down the beautiful old foyer of the hotel

Not enough hooks. Lighting flickered a lot making bathroom mirror hard to use.
The room was very cute! The staff were friendly. Had a fully closing shower enclosure and good water pressure.

Very small bathroom, no overhead shower (hand held).
The location is superb - 5 mins brisk walk along the river To Notre Dame. Three minutes walk to a Metro station. In a quiet one way side street.

The wifi was impossible. We had to put our phones out of the window or go outside to make a call. The front desk suggested I use the code and did not understand that a phone call should not require this. They should invest in a booster.
Great location! Small but nice rooms. Clean.

Im not a huge fan of bathrooms in the bedroom. But if that's your style....
The location is brilliant. So close to Notre Dame and the Sorbonne area. Full of restraints and bistros. The room and bed were quiet and comfortable. The staff very friendly.

The rooms are a bit small, so pack accordingly. Additionally, some rooms are for couples only- as in the bathroom does not have a door. This gets tricky if you have kids.
The location was great. Walk to places. The rooms are nice and clean. Definitely plus that they have AC

Bathroom seemed small to me but others might be more tolerant, considering the fair price.
I won't give it the perfect score as the size of the bathroom and washing area was quite small. But for a solo traveller ... or two young explorers ... I think the room and price are more than acceptable. And I'm over 6 feet , 208 pounds.

Location was perfect. Our room was quiet. We took advantage of the breakfast which was excellent. We usually go out of a hotel for breakfast but there is no reason to: the breakfast is perfect and well-priced. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

... except the room size. Extremely small :( But probably it is normal for old buildings in the heart of Paris. Anyway, I'm still ready to recommend this hotel, it's really good!
