disappointed that there as no one on reception to meet and greet even at the prime arrival time. Also we were halfway through breakfast before a very harassed lady arrived. Not a good impression.

The hotel and room were excellent, with parking outside the door. The room was very quiet and very comfortable and large. The meal was in the co-owned hotel a few minutes walk away and it was excellent. The staff were first class and very helpful. the short walk to the town centre was well worth it

We were diverted to La Sapiniere hotel a short distance from this hotel and what a fabulous experience. The rooms were extremely well appointed with fridge, coffee machine etc. and spotlessly clean. The restaurant in the evening was top class. French cuisine at its best! Breakfast was fresh fruit and lots of croissants and lovely cheeses. A great experience and one we will return to.

I like a cuppa first thing in the morning, so access to a kettle somewhere would be nice.

Super little pet friendly hotel in central Brioude. Warm (it was snowing) and comfortable; lovely to have a balcony too. Parking on site made life simple. Breakfast continental was fine, local cheese etc Nice rooms, medium size but lovely bathrooms with towel radiator that actually works! Reception and lounge are very welcoming. Microwave available in the lobby. There is an elevator too.

As mentioned, we would, in future, choose to stay in the main hotel. But absolutely no complaints.

I fully intended to write this appreciation: thank you for reminding me. It was for myself and my husband a very pleasant experience. We stayed in the annex and at first we were a little puzzled by the lack of personnel to welcome us. However, everything was amazingly well organised. Contact is made with the main reception , the code and entrance arrangements are perfectly clear. The room was up to standard and as per the description. Things really improved however when we made the short walk up the hill for dinner at the main hotel. The welcome there was tremendous, the dining room, service and the quality of the food was exceptional and was well worth the detour. The next morning a lovely breakfast was served in the pleasant breakfast room in the annex. Certainly the main hotel, with its lovely garden would be our choice for any future stay, especially with our little dog. But all round a very agreeable stay.

Wonderful location in the town of Brioude. Very modern clean rooms, air conditioning, very good breakfast and you could eat at the hotel restaurant nearby or short walk to restaurants nearby. Good parking on site.

It would have been nice if we had been informed of the change of accommodation before we arrived.

When we arrived at the Hotel Poste et Champagne we were informed that we had been moved to the sister hotel, just up the hill. Our room in this hotel was excellent, as was the breakfast in the morning. It was a short walk into the town, which was worth the time as there are several interesting buildings and some really good bars and restaurants.

This was a very pleasant surprise - the hotel is a sort of annex to another that is situated 100 m up the hill, which is where I also had dinner. It has the feel of a real family-run enterprise - the staff are incredibly friendly and the facilities excellent.

Great location, convenient with good parking. Easy access to pick up key, even though no staff at time of our arrival. Great comfortable room, and nice bathroom. Good breakfast in the morning with helpful staff. Great for us as our dog could stay as well. Would definitely use again if we are in the area.. Thank-you.

Wonderful looking building adjacent to a chateau with good parking. Excellent welcome by owner and showed to 2 comfortable rooms overlooking pool and outdoor dining area. Good dinner and breakfast with welcoming staff. Definitely go again.

Room a litle small but perfectly adequate.

Nice large comfortable bed, modern well fitted room with ensuite, aircon. Lovely Town Centre 15 min or less walk away, or large central free Car Park. Great breakfast and superb evenng meal available at sister hotel 150 yds away uphill. Very friendly staff, other residents nice too. Parking free.

Entry is via a code (sent via E-Mail) and there was no one on reception …… (clear instruction are in the E-mail and it is quite simple if you take the time to read it!). There was a little confusion as to which restaurant we were booked into so make sure you check which restaurant you are going as you make a reservation…. It will be well worth it

The location is good with parking in front of the hotel. Our room was spacious clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was closed and so we ate at the sister hotel which is a 10 minute walk up the hill and had one of the best meals & service. In the morning the breakfast in the hotel was very good providing all fresh produce. We would like to stay again.

We had to talk an electrician into letting us in as we had lost the internet for the code. The only staff we saw at any time was at breakfast.

Made very welcome on our arrival. Madame provided a light lunch although service was finished. Breakfast was excellent, well presented with plenty of choice.Given a choice of rooms with or without a balcony. Extremely comfortable.
