A solid hotel choice. The location is the major selling point of the property as it is directly at the main marketplace. The room is a nice size and the bathroom was clean. A very good value the money. Despite our deficiencies in French language skills, the staff remained courteous and friendly with us.

All was ok.

The hotel is a bit dated, but our room was comfortable and well-equipped. It was also very quiet. The two young ladies on reception were both super friendly and helpful when we arrived and during our one night stay. We were able to park very cheaply right outside the hotel. Montargis is a very attractive little city/town (?) with plenty going on.

The room I had was at the rear of the hotel and the area outside the room seemed to be one big ashtray, not what you want to be looking onto.

The situation of the hotel was perfect as it is right in the heart of Montages.

Worn and stained carpeting. Mediocre selection at breakfast. Only rather old apples as fruit. No cereal. No eggs. No toast.

The interior, bathroom, toilet, etc. is a bit worn off and it seems that the hotel has seen better times.

Hotel in the very heart of Montargis, with many restaurants, cafés, etc. nearby. Spacious rooms with coffee / tea maker in the room. Large bed. Quiet at night. Convenient check-in and check-out times. Parking in the hotel garage is available at a reasonable price.

The location would have been excellent were it not for car access being impossible at the back because of market (which we knew) and at front because of music festival (which we didn't).

Excellent location for this hotel, right in the centre of this pretty historic town. Private underground car park (extra cost). A charming traditional hotel with big rooms and very comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast with particularly good croissants etc, and fresh fruit.

We are on cycle tour and this was our second stop out of Paris.The hotel is a little way out of the town centre but the staff were so helpful and lovely and the breakfast was brilliant with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs and the usual great French fare. The rooms are nice and definitely recommend for cycle tourists.

As others have noted, the decor is a bit dated in some respects, but this did not impact the overall quality. Hot water seemed to be a bit erratic, at least at the times I needed it. A curious system, where the aircon/heating is centrally controlled. I got them to switch off overnight. But no serious issues.

Very nice room in hotel in central square, so very convenient for shops etc (there's a supermarket next door). Clean, comfy, good wifi. Good insulation so little noise from square outside.

I miss the charm of an hotel de France. However well very handy in a charming town.

Handy hotel in the downtown of Montargis. Nice starting point for a bridge walk around the town. The city has interesting bridges and canals all around and good shopping options for the size of the town. Enough places for a good dinner of all levels of gourmande. A reservation might be smart in advance. Many restaurants seems to have it busy. Parking in front of the hotel or nearby. Breakfest is good and a bar on all days except Wednesday.

Small bathroom, sockets at wrong places (nothing in the bathroom, nothing next to your bed etc) and airco did not work properly and made funny noises. Toilet was wobbly / broken.

Nice location in cosy city center. Parking in front of the door. Good size bedroom with very good bed. Breakfast ok. Dogs allowed at a cost.

Thé staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was good. They accommodated storage of our bikes and there was garaging for the car.

Nice location in the centre of Town. There was parking right outside. Receptionist spoke some English and spoke slowly in French to help us understand. Simple but classic decor. Air conditioning worked well. There was a shop right next door.
