Excellent breakfast. Room made up daily. Very friendly owner and his wife. Protected parking. Outside bar area; reasonably-priced drinks. Lovely decorations throughout.

In the toillet, wich was separated from the shower, was a terrible smell... The toilet was very closed to the bed and for that reason we were very disturbed. We are disappointed about the owner response to our complaint. He said, I quote "If you don't like it, go to another place. It's your problem that you have a sensitive nose". The only reason we didn't left is because we were with our 6 years old daughter and it was pretty late. The owners's properties should be aware that when we are paying for a service we have the right to receive a good quality of that service in exchange.

The rooms are in a pretty enclosed courtyard where you can sit and they also run a happy hour with drinks in the evening. The bedrooms were modern, beautifully furnished and clean. Parking is also inside and very secure which was important for us. Breakfast was great and the hosts were very attentive. Great location to visit Colmar, but you do need transport.

Well, we got abused by the wife as we left the property. She asked me to come in to the to the room we were staying and she had in her hand a 3 cm piece of thin cane (it looked like a thin piece of cardboard) and before a conversation had even started, she started yelling at me stating I should keep an eye on my children and was in my face which was very intimidating. In terms of her accusation, there was not one semblance of truth to it, as I had been with my children the whole time and they had not been playing with the furniture in the room. In fact, I made sure the room was tidy before we left and did not see anything at all on the floor or in the room. So, as you can imagine, having someone yelling at you accusing your children and parenting, and not being given the opportunity to respond really ruined the whole experience. I hope that no one else goes through the same experience, it ruined the end of our holiday.

The husband was really lovely and accommodating and put on a nice breakfast for us. The rooms were farm style. Basic but nice.

It’s dark in the room. The windows are without mosquitoes nets. At night you can hear noise from the street. We choose the apartment because of the yard with the garden which we saw in the photos of the property but there is no garden in reality.

Wasn’t allowed to eat or drink in the room. Weather was cold and rainy but we still had to sit outside which isn’t always allowed either. And check in window was only open for 2 hours.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Despite there being tables outside we couldn’t eat our own food there. There is nothing to do in Bischwihr.

The bit hostile welcome by the host made us feel very unwelcome. We arrived at 22:00 and apparently we had to give the accommodation a call if arriving later than 19:00. Unfortunately, we had overseen this rule in their confirmation. After long drive we arrived at 22:00 and the approach by the host was of an extreme unkind and unwelcome nature. Whilst we were were in the car, before we were checked in, he adressed his frustration to wait so long for us, and called us impolite. For me, running a B&B or guesthouse should be all about hospitality and looking after guests, give them a great experience. For us, this has been an extreme unwelcoming and guest-unfriendly experience. Will not return again.
