Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe bathroom showerhead needed cleaning of its calcium deposits, the sink drain needed to be cleaned. This is not a negative, but don't expect air conditioning - it's an old house.
This bed and breakfast gave us a genuine "French" experience in a wonderful town. The host was absolutely wonderful and so helpful. The breakfast was delicious, served in the courtyard, surrounded by plantings. Old and authentic.

United KingdomThe directions to the front door.
A very good stop over venue which we booked while travelling back from the Alps. Senlis is a beautiful little town and the nearby lakes were a great distraction from the driving.

BelgiumThe public parking situation in town is difficult. Most of the public parking lots were full. Luckily Francine rents a coupe of places in a private lot, and we could park our van there. Th stairs are a bit tricky to manage (my husband is currently walking with a cane). One of the friends we travelled with is elderly and now walking well. The superior room they stayed in had small steps between different areas of the room which was hazardous. It would be helpful to mark those with a coloured strip.
Warm reception, Francine was very helpful. The room was big as was the bathroom. Nice view on the garden. Good bed and super quiet - not noise of traffic etc. Free tea / coffee in the room. A great breakfast in a wonderful kitchen, next to a living room with lots of reading material. Lots of attention to detail. As it was sunny we could really enjoy hanging out in the beautiful garden.

BrazilWhen I arrived, the gate that gives access to the property was closed. I had to ring for a few minutes before I could go in.
Côte Jardin - as the name implies - gives you a room overlooking the garden, so the rooms are not only clean and comfortable but also charming. Breakfast includes a delicious, freshly baked baguette. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main attractions and easily reached on foot or by car.

NetherlandsDriving trough an very old town with old narrow roads is very stressful and googlemaps wanted to guide me through roads my car wouldn't fit through. finding a parking spot was near impossible. thankfully the locals were really kind in helping me with information on the payed parking places. Later I asked the host and could park the car in front of the hotel. but it's a busy narrow road and the spot is between two boulders. not an easy spot to park. It's the only downside though. the stay was so beautiful and nice. So definitely come visit but just try to avoid coming by car.
Its a beautiful old building with nice and comfortable interior design. Very clean, a comfortable bed, big shower and nice bathrobe and towels available. Lots of french books wich gave the room a nice atmosphere. The host is very kind and spoke English very well. It was no problem to serve breakfast very early (7.30u) which i was very grateful for. Even though I was just staying here for one night I did explore the city centre a bit and even though it was dark it was still beautiful.

United KingdomThere was nothing that we did not like!
It was our second stay at Côté Jardin. We went back because we loved it so much the first time, and it did not let us down this time. Francine our host, is kind, welcoming, and helpful. The decor is beautiful, and the breakfasts delicious and plentiful. It is likely that we will visit Senlis again, and we will not hesitate to stay at Côté Jardin again.
