Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was advertised as having parking but there were very few places and I had to park in a public car park with quite a walk to the hotel. Bathroom was rather sad, with the basin tap about to fall off!
Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Filtered water on tap. Very easy access from autoroute.

United KingdomThe hotel was obviously once beautiful, but is tired and looks a bit unloved. The rooms are small, with no kettle.
This quiet hotel is great value for money and brilliantly situated just off the motorway for an overnight stop on the way to Spain. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. If the restaurant is closed, there is a lovely creperie over the road and a great patisserie also over the road for coffee and pastries in the morning.

SwedenIt is a bit of from the centre, so if your goal is to explore city centre this might not be for you. With that said, it was perfect for our goals. Would recommend!
Great Hotel with comfortable beds and much needed AC, no headaches at either check in/out, everything went smoothly.

United KingdomThe room was very small and very hot, especially with our dog in the room. You could barely shut the door when in the loo.
Very much in town. Able to park, and very dog friendly.

United KingdomThe ability to reduce the temperature. The restaurant attached to the hotel closed on Saturday and Sunday. Gradignan has a limited number of restaurants. If you are staying for more than 2 or 3 days, I suggest eating in Bordeaux as the the local transport is excellent.
The staff accommodating. They swapped our intended room for a ground floor room because my wife uses a stick. Unfortunately, the room we were given was too hot and we could not adjust the temperature. I asked the receptionist to turn the heating down in the room but nothing could be done. The room was cramped.

United KingdomThe decor inside and out is looking a little tired. The outside definitely needs some work. They have pulled the ivy away from the front and it all needs a good jetwash and painting. The communal areas inside also need recarpeting and redecorating, but that obviously all comes with a high price-tag, so I appreciate that prices woulde have to go up to pay for it.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the waiter in the restaurant. The hotel is excellent value for money and well situated for a half way stop near the motorway on the way to and from Spain. The village is nice to wander around to stretch your legs after a long day's drive. 80 euros for a night is the best value which we have found en route. The bed was very big and very comfy. The restaurant food was good and the covered patio area was lovely. The hotel was clean and tidy.

We enjoyed our stay very much.. We received a lovely welcome at the reception on arrival.. The proximity of the hotel to local shops and some bars was handy. It is a 40 + minute bus from/to Bordeaux, but we tend to choose out of town locations for a less tourist feel, and bus stops are outside the hotel so it is relatively easy getting into Bordeaux - just check 31 bus times and plan ahead. Download the TBM app for the purchase of bus tickets. The hotel itself is quirky with nice comfy beds and air con. Rooms are overdue a refurb but were cleaned and refreshed daily.

SpainLoved the location in a great town. The bed was comfy, and the room had AC, but everything with the property was tired. I guess this is reflected in the price. Hopefully, they will make some renovations as it really is a lovely town and could be a great hotel. We ate at the Korean street kitchen, and the food was so good.

United KingdomThe restaurant was closed for the summer but we went over the road for crepes and cider, which were good. We didn't try the breakfast as it was quite expensive, so had coffee and pastries elsewhere. Bedroom was very tiny, with a loo in one cupboard and a bath/shower/ sink in another.
Staff were helpful. Room had much needed aircon. Bed was very comfy. Hotel handy for the high street and restaurants. We had a good walk down to the river and pilgrims hostel gardens. A good location for an overnight stop on our drive down to Spain. Plenty of breakfast spots in the town and a supermarket too.

Located in a charming square in Gradignan, near to a market, a boulangerie, coffee shop, pizzeria, a drugstore and a Japanese restaurant. Easy access to the highway. Very nice if you’re traveling by car with your family. We would be back. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
