How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Green light from wall heater shone directly onto pillows at night....as a light sleeper who is light sensitive, this affected my ability to sleep.
Friendly staff. Rooms as you would expect from a two star facility....no frills but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate.....not a great deal of choice but ok.

Everything could have been a bit better, but nothing was a problem - a fair price for a fair hotel.
The hotel was a convenient short walk from the old town with good restaurants. The breakfast was very standard but acceptable - all very similar to am Ibis experience. Ample parking, though it would have been useful to have had a garage for my Motorbike.

A very good hotel located in the charming town of Wissembourg. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Just a few minutes’ walk from the old town center, where you can find good food.

Though this was not clear on the booking.com page, breakfast was not included, and was a little expensive for what was available. If they are charging extra for this, they could stand to up their game a bit.
A nice small hotel on the edge of Vosges with a lovely slightly rustic feel. Very homey and comfortable. Great location for hikers, of whom there were a number staying. Good parking, and an easy walk to lovely downtown Wissemburg, a small town with plentiful restaurants and lots of character.

Really warm welcome, the staff at reception and in the breakfast room were really friendly. For the money that you pay (and it really is good value), the rooms are more than ok, especially with aircon. The breakfast was good, and great value and there is free parking on site. Whilst there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, it does not matter - a few minutes walk away are some lovely bars and restaurants in the little town. This is a very good value modest hotel, with great staff.

Shower over the bath with no grab rail is a bit tricky for elderly people.
An excellent location with excellent parking facilities. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Only a short walk into the town centre to find our evening meal.

Only stayed one night. There was cob webs in the corners of the room. The shower just spurted water out everywhere. The hotel was closed between 11am to 3pm, which I found odd. We asked if they could call us a taxi as we were going to a show, which they refused to do. Seemed that there was a party going in somewhere with shouting etc going in till the early hours.
It has unsecured parking. Bedding and towels were clean.

Friendly staff, efficient service. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped room and bathroom. Plenty of bike storage in the locked garage. Good location, just a few minutes' walk from the city centre.

The rooms are extremely narrow, beds are to short and to small. Our room was with a sloping roof, what made it even smaller - at 11m2 this gets the room extremely tight. Also very sad, that the small room besides the entry and the breakfast room are closed during the night, so there is not even any place you could sit and read a book when getting up early.
Breakfast was good and service very attentive, room was clean and parking was available. The hotel is very near from the village center. Village is very nice with a lot of 'cachet' and we found a nice walk along the small river.
