Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWhen our room was cleaned they did not give us clean mugs or new tea bags, coffee or milk. I think the breakfast is too expensive, maybe offer a la carte as well as set breakfast in case someone only wants a yoghurt and a piece of fruit. Or just a cross pint and a coffee
Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of great facilities. Coffee and tea making facilities in room and mini fridge. Downstairs there is a water machine with sparkling and flat water to refill bottles as well as a hot drink machine and biscuits. Also games to play. The hotel can lend you Parasols and mats for the beach. The beds had Comfy pillows and everything very clean. Thank you

GermanyThe wash basin is too small. The water splashed out. There's also not enough space to keep our toiletries in the bathroom. Not enough plugs especially on the bed side.
Perfect location since it's near the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Shout out to the asian young lady (didn't catch her name) that was super kind, speaks English fluently and very patient with me-trying-to-practice-my french. Also to the man that on the night shift during our whole week stay. Both of them took the extra miles of the word "service". 👏👏 The lobby is also a PLUS. Comfy chair and desk for work or just sit around and wait. The coffee machine that even though it's free but provides quality. The glass bottle and the water dispenser are also a life saver. It reduces plastic use and also help us fill our water bottle for our daily outings. It's small things but essential!

RomaniaThe room was quite small and I didn’t like that the bathroom had a sliding door, which didn’t offer much privacy. The walls were very thin — we could hear everything from neighboring rooms, as well as the lift and hallway doors, which woke us up early in the morning. It was fine for a short stay, but I’d probably look for something a bit quieter next time.
The hotel was okay overall. The location was decent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the free coffee and water station — a nice touch.

United KingdomOnly one thing we found disappointing, and we felt needed to be pointed out to the reception on leaving, was that the shower did run very hot and then cold while showering. It was occasionally dangerously hot. Would be worried if a young child was to use un supervised . Was told that this would be checked out and fixed.
What a great little hotel. Had everything that we needed for our stay. Room was comfortable and clean, shower/toilet was well presented, clean and modern. We slept well. Balcony door could be left open at night for fresh air and the night time city noises of life. Tea/Coffee making facilities along with TV (French only channels) and Fridge. Great location for all transport hubs. Short walk to the sea front. 25/35 minute walk from hotel to Nice Old Town. Would definitely recommend if your main purpose is to travel to other parts via mainline trains. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Free tea and coffee making facilities in the a dining area near the reception which, after a long day walking was nice to come back to. Overall very good/excellent.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast room is really small, there is not that much of variety, there are no amenities in the bathroom and considering it’s a 4* hotel I was expecting- the room are really close to each other and the walls are so thin we could hear other room noises.
5’ walk to the station, overall close to all the main attractions: main square, promenade, city centre - the bed was comfortable and the staff really kind!
