Air-conditioning didn't work, shutter on bedroom window didn't work although we did have thin curtains, decor was dated. No tea/coffee making facilities

Took some time to figure out the roadwork/ building repairs and one way streets around hotel. Once figured out where hotel parking was, all was well

Is within walking distance of the city centre and the Pause Guitarre Festival area which was the main reason for the travel. We found an exceptional staff that allowed us to arrive late at night with courtesy despite being 1.00 in the morning. The car park is safe and spacious, and the breakfast is nice and full of local products. I've added this place to my list of best hotel choice

The parking was very useful, though a little difficult to find on the one-way system, and somewhat expensive. Though the on site staff were excellent, the reception (a student on summer job) was rather slow, a little ill-trained, and writing everything in a notebook as well as online??!

It's a lovely spacious hotel, situated round an open courtyard, cool for the summer, but a little drizzly when we were there. The staff are absolutely on top of things; ready to attend to your every need. The breakfast was sumptuous!! It included home made quiches, beautifully roasted ham and the local fois gras speciality, which another guest described as 'exceptionel', as well as plenty of a hugely varied selection of French delicacies, pastries, delicious fresh fruit, eggs, best cheese and ham selection ever! The hotel is situated near the central town square and in easy walking distance of places to visit.

The staff at the reception desk could have been a little more attentive to in-person guests. In other words, phone calls seemed to take priority over in-person guest interactions.

The Hotel Chiffre is a hotel run in a modern way: reception staff is present only during some morning hours and some evening hours. The staff is communicative, though, and respond to inquiries sent via Booking. It is located just outside of the old section of Albi, and it is easily walkable from there to most of Albi's tourist sites. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. We chose not to purchase the breakfast because there were cafe's and boulangeries not too far away. It is close enough to the Place du Vigan, a lively square, to be able to partake of its various offerings, from concerts to cafes. Yet it is removed enough that noise from the plaza did not travel to the rooms.

On first look was all ok but then checking the bathroom there was stains in the toilet and the bathtub was dirty

The bed linen ,underlay and top sheet had stains on them and the ceiling had stains . Breakfast was too expensive €15 pp

The location was good and had private parking cars , motorcycles, Bycycles .€10 .

The air con set at 26 degrees was too high I thought, a buzzing sound came from the bathroom all night and the shower was poor

The layout of the hotel is great, with rooms looking over a central courtyard meaning there is no street noise. Secure parking right in the city centre is a real bonus.

it was a shame they didn’t have a restaurant for the evening but there are loads very near by
