Bed was a little shaky and perhaps due a new mattress. Still was lovely big room with beautiful decoration and nice shower etc. breakfast was fine if unexciting.

This place is a hidden gem with the most excellent rooms that are huge and spotless and the hotel staff do everything they can for you eg booking all your dinner and lunch and nothing is too much of a problem. This place is extraordinary on all levels. And we will be back

Absolutely everything. What a stunning place to stay with spacious beautiful rooms. The grounds, the buildings, the pool, the terrace, the salons and the spa. All totally gorgeous. All the staff were lovely too. We didn’t want to leave.

Nothing there was a nut infestation in the olive SAUMUR and some nuts did you get into our room but they recalled the windows to prevent the gnats from getting in the room and it was absolutely wonderful

Pool was cold and a little dirty.

Comfy bed and quiet location made for excellent sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. Interesting history and vintage charm. Beautiful view from our room. About 15 min walk to old city centre.

The chateau was beautiful! The grounds were welcoming to walk and enjoy. The staff was very nice, accommodating when we were delayed and arrived very late, and helpful with local restaurants and activities. The spa was amazing, staff very good.

Beautiful chateau full of heritage. Very lovely staff. Interiors of the chateau were well preserved and filled with character. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. Lift available for convenience.

October and the entire region was swarming with a combination of brown marmorated stink bugs and lady bugs that somehow managed to continually sneak into our room. Not the owner's fault, but did detract slightly from our experience.

The property is amazing. It's the sort of place we hoped we might be able to stay in sometime during our trip through the Loire Valley. An actual Chateau! Best stay of our trip. A little outside the center of town, which we liked.

The hotel is located in the city center in an elegant chateau with old charm that is well preserved. It is tastefully and artistically decorated. The room is beautiful and spacious. The spa is absolutely gorgeous, combining noble and natural materials with modern luxury. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for visit and restaurants.

This was an exceptional experience! The comfort, furnishings and service were wonderful. The rooms, the breakfast , the spa were all A+. No reason to stay anywhere else and a great location to explore the western Loire. With the ease of parking and the dining choices of a somewhat larger city in Saumur also a great choice for a longer stay.

Everything! Beautiful decor, original features, restored in keeping with the period it was built, yet had modern conveniences and comforts. The owner and staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was very good. The spa looked amazing!
