Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt was amazing in general. Minor things our window shade was broken in the loft and they did not fix it. They told us a reso was made at the spa and it wasn’t. But concierge was incredibly nice and helpful with other resos and taxi booking. Restaurant and staff was accommodating to our active four year old. It is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed.
The hotel is gorgeous, smaller than I expected from pictures but I liked how cozy it is. Right in front of the beach and in the cutest town.

RomaniaNot much improvement can be done, honestly. Though, if there would be something to suggest, would be regarding the staff. They’re pretty cold, you don’t feel that looked after. Especially by the pool no one comes to serve you.
One of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever stayed in. The estethics of both interior and exterior are to die for. The view is spectacular, breakfast is delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. This place is truly magical, I felt like a princess.

RussiaYou should do something with food. Not enough good on beach restaurant and absolutely terrible in room service. I made a simple order - a club sandwich ant it was disgusting - wet bread , cold, completely inedible. So nice hotel, nice staff, one of the best breakfast in France, but food in room service and on the beach restaurant- very very questionable
Nice private place)

TurkeyMy only negative comment about the hotel is that the pictures show a beach, but it turns out there's a fee. Even with a 20% discount for hotel guests, it's still expensive. We had to drive somewhere else to swim.
It's a very nice hotel, with very comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms. The breakfast area and breakfast are fantastic.

AustraliaThere were a few minor miscommunications that were sorted out quickly. Spa only had hot tub $ sauna working, which was not so suitable for summer hot days. You need to pay for the beach club chairs which is open to the public. But they can arrange a discount for guests.
Amazing facilities & beautifully designed. It’s a pretty new property so everything was amazing. You have everything at your fingertips. Pool with the best view, beach club, Michelin restaurant on site, breakfast & also a short walk to town. Staff were also lovely and very helpful. Gave special attention for birthday, which was so appreciated!

The private beach and general location south of Cannes is unbeatable. You can take the train to other villages, but your secluded from the crowds when you want simple, laid back beach time.

United KingdomVery few complaints - small things - there was no hairdryer in one of our rooms and although we went down to reception to ask for one it never arrived. The coffee machine and kettle are great but I would really appreciate some small milk sachets to go with the coffee pods as I don't want only black coffee. But honestly, nothing else.
Our second stay at this hotel, which is a beautiful luxury hotel in a lovely part of the South of France. We were a family group of 7. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. They greet you with such warmth whenever you walk through the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, (we were in the new wing), with all the amenities you could want. The breakfast is delicious. They let us have a late check out for no extra cost for one of the rooms as our return flight was in the evening and we were offered a lift to the train station when we departed which was really unexpected and amazingly helpful.

RomaniaI'm not sure I got the room I booked. It doesn't look the same as in the reservation, and it seemed smaller than 35sqm...I checked an extra large double bed when booking, and there were actually 2 single beds close together...which after you move a little, the mattresses move apart...I don't understand why if you put a king size bed you wake up with 2 beds...and you check this in special mode. The cost per night was almost 460 eur, quite a lot, not to mention the aspects of the reservation.
The staff was very nice from the first contact with them. The breakfast was delicious, I had an omelette, very good. Everything was of high quality. I forgot my jacket in the room when I checked out, and I called them, and I got it back the next day. The location is very beautiful, full of green plants and it is quiet

United StatesIf you’re wanting something closer to the action, this is about a 20 minute taxi ride but it was exactly where we wanted to be
The chateau exceeded our expectations beyond compare. The staff was accommodating to any of our needs and most of all interacted with us like humans, which sometimes at 5-star experiences the staff can be a little stuffy. They engaged with us, accommodated all of our desires, and were helpful when we had to change rooms. My husband and I booked a suite for our honeymoon and after the first night we came to find out there was a plumbing issue. From notice, the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We even got upgraded to the best room :)

The whole property is beautiful, the view from our room was incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they even made recommendations for dinner in Nice. It was a genuine vacation. Just removed enough from bigger cities/towns, but still had access to do a shopping day, etc. Also had everything we needed within a few blocks. Highly recommended! It wasn’t very full (first week of October) but the weather was still great, we spent a few days at the beach and really got to enjoy the spa and pool! The glass double shower was so nice, sometimes hotels try for this and they’re very poorly designed (it does have a curtain if you don’t want the person lounging in bed to see you!)

Chateau de Theoule was the perfect summer getaway for me and my partner. We absolutely loved every single moment of our stay and had the best memories to cherish at this place. Starting from the beautiful staff who were so accommodating to our every need and their warm hospitality and smiles that made us feel spoiled and joyful every day. The breakfast was impeccable with the most gorgeous view on the terrace. The room we stayed in was flawless with attention to details and stunning decor and design. We enjoyed the pool as well as their private beach. It was my partners Birthday and they have surprised us with a bottle of Rose and lovely Bday note when we arrived in our room. Honestly, not only the facilities and chic design of the Chateau, but the staff as well made our stay here enchanting. We definitely look forward to stay there again.
