We had the most magical stay at Château de Sibra — the perfect romantic escape. The setting is breathtaking, with serene gardens, historic charm, and artistic flair woven into every detail. Our room was spacious, beautifully styled, and incredibly peaceful. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast featuring homemade and local delights. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the exceptional hospitality of Sybille, the owner. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, sharing the château’s rich history and ensuring every moment was perfect. A truly special place that we can’t wait to return to.

The only downside? Leaving this charming haven and now craving the exquisite dishes from the surprise menu. Château de Sibra is a hidden gem that I highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility, beauty, and exceptional hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

Château de Sibra is a truly enchanting escape, perfect for recharging your spirit in peaceful surroundings. The expansive grounds, embraced by nature, offer stunning views that captivate and soothe the soul. The château, resembling a fairy tale castle, is rich with character, featuring hidden doors, beautifully decorated rooms, and inviting fireplaces. From the moment we arrived, we felt a warm family atmosphere, thanks to the wonderful and friendly staff who seemed eager to make our stay memorable. The self-service tea and coffee facilities in the main hall were a lovely touch, but the staff went above and beyond, often surprising us with drinks, including their delightful homemade elderflower syrup with sparkling water. Our minimalist room was perfect, providing a distraction-free environment to relax. The absence of a phone and TV allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience, while the stunning flower garden outside filled our space with a captivating aroma. Even during a heatwave, the thick castle walls kept us cool, and the lovely housekeeper provided a fan for added comfort. The grounds themselves are magical, resembling a fairytale forest with serene spots for picnics, birdwatching, or getting lost in a good book. The small pool was an inviting option for a refreshing morning dip. Breakfast was a delight, featuring fresh fruits, muesli, yogurt, homemade jams, honey from their own bees, fresh bread, croissants, and a selection of cheeses and eggs. It was more than enough to fuel our days of exploration. The highlight of our stay was the surprise set menu, which surpassed many Michelin-starred dining experiences we've had. It's an absolute must-try!

The location, the wonderful restored château, the restaurant and the breakfast (all fresh and local food products) were amazing ! Chef Rashid is a fantastic cook and a wonderful person! and so are the 2 ladies who served the dinner and the breakfast! We really felt at home! The views on the Pyrenees from the castle are fantastic and the whole environment invites you to get out and explore that very nice part of France!

We are impressed by the efforts made by Sybille in restoring the charm of the Château, including the hand-stamped wallpaper replicating the original patterns. The use of modern furniture in bedrooms brings out the character of this old building. Thanks to Isabelle and her team who went out all the way to make our stay comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were remarkable, candlelit in an elegant room adorned with original decor. We specially like the early evening walk from the Château to the pond with wild flowers in May.

The food was very good but we wished they had an option on the main course as we didn’t care for the main on the evening menu

    Beautiful area and great staff.

Liked the idea of mixing modern furniture in this traditional building, but felt some of the fittings were of poor quality

The architect has mixed old and new, inspired by the Chateau's history of doing the same, but very practically that meant the bed was a little low for my elderly mother.

Amazing Chateau, painstakingly restored by a professional architect, set in 15ha with beautiful Capability Brown style parkland.
