Gorgeous old castle. The owners are putting a lot of care in restoring it for future generations. Xavier provides a delicious breakfast as well.

As long as you have a car, it’s perfect.

Xavier has undertaken a formidable restoration to create a wonderful experience. Tying in the history of the chateau with the local area, French history from the 1600s on and the new Te Arawhata museum in Le Quesnoy was fascinating for us - thank you!

Everything! It was a true discovery! Highly recommended.

Breakfast was great and generous, but there could be a savory option too.

Our breakfast was lovely. Coming from Australia, the croissants and home made jam were so different. The setting was beautiful. Also had fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The bookstore was fascinating and made me wish I could read French. Our Hosts, Xavier and Sybille were very attentive and helped us get to the NZ War Museum in the nearby town of Le Quesnoy as we did not have a car.

Can’t think of anything that would make our stay any better.

Peaceful relaxing stay. It was an excellent stopover, but really deserves a longer stay. Excellent breakfast and hosts.
