Many of the rooms had no working AC. We were given a fan but it was hard to get a good nights sleep. Also only water was offered other than meal times. It would have been nice to have healthy drinks and snacks available.

This hotel is beautifully situated with grounds, pool, forest and a chateau. The breakfasts were very good. Paris was very hot so it was nice to be in the cooler countryside for our stay in France.

It is not easy to understand where the reception is located. No signage and if there is no staff than it is not clear where you need to go.

The temperature of the pool could have been hotter. The restaurant was expensive for the food served.

The room was very confortable, the location was great with stables and a huge forest to walk into.

The room was quite warm, even if it was freezing outside and the temperature control didn't change anything. The wifi is a bit flaky, good enough for some youtube and email, but it would not be suitable for doing remote work.

We enjoy coming back to this hotel, its environment immediately gets me in a holiday mood. My daughter enjoyed going for a ride on horseback through the forest. Even if you are not staying in the main "castle", you can have a drink there in the bar. We had a great buffet dinner with live music at the Brasserie

Typical Novotel, simple and comfortable rooms and bathrooms but in a sublime location, the park grounds of a french chateau.

Would have liked a map of the forest paths so we could have gone further without fear of getting lost.

Ideally, you want a car to eat outside the hotel. The only restaurant is overpriced and has a restricted menu specially for.children. Rooms are also small, but we were out most of the day, so it was fine for us.

If you need to.explore Paris but have energetic children.need space between this is the place for.you.. We were there during olimpics and the pool was a real plus during the heat . Kids.loved the poney ride too. Staff were excellent and very helpful.

The room smelled a little musty when arriving.

The location is great. It is 60 minutes from Paris by car but transformative. It really felt like being in the countryside. The hotel is set in a larger Domaine which hosts a number of activities. There is pool, tennis court, stables, horses, bikes and a petanque court and forest trail to name a few. The hotel also has board games and activities for kids. We came for a wedding,. The ceremony was in their large flower filled meadow in the shadow of an enormous tree. Just gorgeous. Afterwards we had cocktails on a terrace before heading into one of the little halls for dinner and dancing. We were very happy and well fed with the food. The staff was attentive in both the reception and restaurant. In the evenings they burned firewood on the terrace to keep warm. It felt nice to talk around the grounds and smell the smoky air, feeling like we were truly in the countryside.

Unfortunately it was very busy and two of our group waited over 2 hours in the restaurant to be served dinner. After asking several times they left without receiving their meals. I queried and they then said they would send to their room, but as it had been sitting out for a long time (as it was left to one side as staff couldn’t figure out who ordered) & they may have been ready to reheat I declined. Request an iron early morning and was told all out, asked again at lunch time again not available, I would have thought that contacting Whoever had an iron if they had finished with it would have been a reasonable request but staff would not do so!

We booked a room for four guests one week in advance, but it wasn’t ready. The beds for the kids weren’t prepared, and there weren’t enough towels in the room. To top it off, we couldn’t eat at the hotel restaurant because there weren’t any available tables. Considering we paid over €250 for a room for just one night, we expected better service.

I booked this hotel to do the horse riding activity that was offered and promoted by the hotel. They sent me an email about it and I have reserved it our spots and reconfirmed one day before my arrival so I can make sure that the weather is not an obstacle. They called the next day one hour before my arrival to inform that it is not possible due to weather conditions. Then it got worse, i asked for the bikes that they offer, but they were not ready and could not spare me a bike. Their spa is one of the worst, noting that the indoor pool is really cold. So basically we did nothing during stay as there is absolutely nothing to do and nothing around in town, no bars and no restaurants whatsoever. I also experienced more disappointing events in my stay but I do not want to share it. In summary, Novotel does not meet the reputation it has, beware.

Not recommended, the only good things are the nature around the property and the clean comfy rooms
