We didn’t stay long enough

The host was very nice, friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. Our dinner and breakfast were excellent and he had allowed for my wife’s gluten intolerance.

We had supper at the property. A lovely beef burgundy main, followed by an amazing cheese board featuring about 15 local cheeses, with a detailed explanation provided by Christophe (our host). His english is excellent and he is very enthusiastic and informative about the Macon area.

Castle is located in very nice and calm area. Host was super friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious . Totally recommend 😄

Great room with a very comfortable bed and kitchenette. We had dinner when we arrived. The food was excellent and the wine that Christophe recommend was very good too. He provided a gluten free meal and bread which I really appreciated.

We received a warm welcome from Christophe, who guided us around the visitor's facilities for our stay. The room was clean, modern, and spacious with everything you need for the night. We enjoyed a robust, tasty evening meal accompanied by a local (to the Macon area) wine, recommended by Christophe. He kindly explained some of the terms that define the classes of wine. The local cheeses were a treat for our taste buds. The pool was very relaxing after a long day's drive and pleasantly warm, despite the rain! It was a memorable stay in a pretty and quiet location.

Honestly cannot fault it in any way.

Lovely stay in Macon, property is charming and our hosts were perfect, very relaxed but also spot on with service, faultless. We arrived around 4pm and were shown the pool straight away, which was a blessing as it was a very hot day. Towels were provided too. We stayed in the converted stables which were beautifully done, the room was extensive with large separate bathroom, toilet, dressing area in the main bedroom, living room/ kitchenette with fridge, hob and oven. We had dinner at the chateau on the terrace which was equally high quality but relaxed at the same time. Wine was excellent. Breakfast order was taken post dinner and again served on the terrace at a time to suit.

Magic place, with all is needed for a wonderfull stay. Great garden to play with kids, amazing swimming pool. Christoph is a marvellous host, super kind. Dinner was excellent. We will come back with bikes to enjoy the bike tour passing through Macon.

Beautiful Chateau just 2 miles of main route down to South - it was an excellent stop off point midway in our journey. So much nicer than staying in a chain as it made it a memorable part of our journey. We were even lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which meant our 19 yr old son got his own bedroom rather than sharing! It had everything including fridge, coffee machine and a huge tv. We chose to have dinner at the Chateau and we weren’t disappointed. It was excellent value for money. If we do this journey again, we would definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike.

A very pleasant welcome in a beautiful location. Room superb with excellent shower and kitchen area if you want to self cater. We chose to have evening meal and breakfast which was all home cooked and delicious. Outside there is a swimming pool and garden area where you will be served drinks is desired. Location is ideal if you are travelling from or to the UK or easily spend a few days here.

Christophe is an amazing host. Friendly, happy with a nice attentive approach. His knowledge of wines, of which he can offer many is great. The castle is lovely, very clean with a nice terrace, gardens and a beautiful pool area. Enjoyed dinner here which was fab.

Christophe and Stephanie’s château experience is one not to be missed. From the point of booking, communication was excellent. Christophe kept us informed all the way along. Our bedroom was lovely, clean and comfortable. Dinner was excellent and our hosts were charming, warm and friendly. The grounds and pool were beautiful. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I wish a door to the bathroom could be open with less noise. But it's a detail that I'm sure is already fixed by the owner.

The design of the place is great, a combination of modern and comfortable furniture with vintage pieces is made with love and passion of lovely owners. The dinner was delicious, cooked from local and fresh ingredients with a great selection of wine. We ate better then in some restaurants in the region. We slept very well, beds and pillows very comfortable.

It was all very pleasant

The owners have very tastefully renovated this chateau. They have managed make the rooms modern and comfortable without loosing the charm of the old chateau. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The garden and pool were a magnificent to wind down after a long drive. Very kid friendly as well. Dinner and breakfast were good.

The chateau has a great location in a quiet village but near all the highlights of the region. The accommodation is very comfortable and the garden and swimming pool are very nice. Stephanie makes delicious food and if you love wine you’re at the right place! Christophe is a very welcoming and funny host and we had a great time during our 3-day stay. Will come back sometime!
