There really wasn’t much we didn’t like the chateau had so much character All be it a little tired . Apparently it has been in the family since 1956 .

The chateau was in an idyllic position, lots of land , horses goats . Our bedroom was huge and the bathroom was great . The breakfast was very good typical French . The hosts were fantastic very friendly and hospitable. They export wine to which we purchased a few bottles. Would love to stay here again

We stayed for one night as a stopover in large bedroom (Emerald/Emeraude room). Family of three and the hosts kindly put an extra single bed in an alcove for our child. Our room had views over the rear garden and a big bathroom with shower, bath and double sink. Very clean and well appointed with extra pillows and blankets as required. Very warm welcome from the hosts and we all enjoyed feeding the goats, giving the ponies a scratch behind the ears and stroking the cat. Massive croissants and a variety of food on offer for breakfast. Great recommendations for dinner locally too. We will definitely return to the beautiful Chateau de Béhen and its quiet country location.

Lovely chateau, full of character & charm. All those connected to the property were charming, funny & helpful Breakfast was fine when it finally arrived. Proprietor went out to get it delivering the purchases randomly to each table! ...but overall we'd love to go back & can certainly recommend it

I was not a fan of the pillows, more shape options would have been nice to have. Overall i found the room a bit overpriced, but it's true we were also there at the peak of high season.

This place has a lot of charme, it's one of those old houses with a lot of soul. Coming here is an experience, thanks also to the welcoming owners and the other travellers you will meet. And the lovely animals around! The bathroom was fantastic, with a big new bathtub (in the family room). It's very quiet and relaxing so you'll sleep like a baby!

This was our second stay. This is a beautiful chateau surrounded by fields. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome, we had a peaceful sleep in the family suite. The shower was very good and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed playing cards in the grand living room and seeing the goats, ponies and horse. A lovely place to stay near to the charming medieval coastal town of saint valery sur Somme.

Family run, authentic and friendly. We booked late, the hosts welcomed us late in the evening with no problems. They gave a choice of rooms. We slept really well. Breakfast was delicious. A real gem, just 90 mins from Calais.

A beautiful old chateau which is a nice distance from the Eurotunnel. I was travelling with my classic car and the parking is very secure behind coded gates. The host was very welcoming - particularly as I was arriving late in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

There was nothing not to like!

It’s the most charming chateau, with lovely views from all the rooms, our room was cosy and very comfortable on a cold winter’s night, we had a great sleep in the tranquil surroundings.

The location. It was easy to find and located in a beautiful position. The host was friendly, and thank goodness had a sense of humour, as I messed up the booking.

The rooms and the suite were spacious, clean, warm and stately. We were warmly and generously welcomed by the owners who were solicitous and helpful in all regards, accommodated our dog and gave us every assistance to make our stay enjoyable. We would gladly return; next time I will take advantage of the horse riding on offer.

It’s a beautiful setting, ample parking, gate is closed at night with code entry. Norbert was very efficient, friendly and helpful. Rooms were very large. It was what we expected. We will stay again.

It feels and smells old; part of the charm for some, but if you want modern facilities this is not the place for you

Much as other travellers have said: the place has a musty charm; big room, attractive grounds, excellent for dogs (good off-lead walks near the estate), perfectly placed for Calais, a good restaurant 10 mins away (Auberge du Colvert). Norbert is welcoming and fluent in English

There is no bar as such but we were able to buy a bottle of delicious wine to enjoy in our room after arriving quite late.

Great to finish our French road trip with a nights stay at this lovely Chateau. Continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Norbert was very friendly and a great host. Family room was very spacious with lovely views. Only about an hours drive from Calais so an ideal stop off point. Kids enjoyed their stay & visiting the pony, goats and the alpaca. Would loved to have stayed longer and will definitely visit again to try Norbert's cooking & maybe even book for exclusive use with a group of family and friends.
