Didn’t try the food seemed a little pricey. Shame all the rooms didn’t have a little terrace & couldn’t get the tv to work in English - but only small things.

Perfect location for what we needed. Only 10-15 minutes away from the airport and lovely scenery. Room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed and lovely bathroom.

We stayed for only one night on our way to Cherbourg, arriving late and leaving early but it was the perfect end to our family holiday. We enjoyed a beautiful evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast with local produce the following morning. The staff were friendly and accommodating and made our family of 6 feel very welcome.

It needs a little freshening up. No AC can be an issue, and the bed and pillows were not the what I expected.

Beautiful historical property. Food and service is outstanding. The restaurant is exceptional!

    Nothing to dislike.

Very warm welcome, an excellent Amber beer, a delicious Croque-monsieur, the Greek theatre, the comfort of the bar downstairs, the exquisite bedroom Charles decorated sublimely, the view of the lake and the fabulous breakfast. A big thank you for your exceptionally warm welcome. Always a pleasure to return.

Our stay of one night was wonderful. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The staff were so very friendly and helpful and the price reasonable. We used room service and the food was very pleasant. the hotel is just outside Rennes and so less than 3 hours from the Roscoff ferry to the UK. This makes the hotel perfectly placed for our our final night of vacation. We will stay again

Nothing it was spectacular- wish we had stayed longer!

The property is outstanding! It really is absolutely beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. But it is the staff that set this place apart. We had car trouble the night we arrived from the ferry, our battery died and we called assistance. They didn’t speak English and Honorine went above and beyond to help us. She translated for us with the guy who came to help jump start and even printed all the documents we needed. She also very kindly helped us find somewhere to get a battery the next day and offered any help we needed, even food. Cannot fault this place. I will say if staying on Sunday the restaurant is closed but they make this very clear at all points of the reservation. So, prepare and buy something or eat nearby. Be aware that most places are closed in the area on a Sunday!

I loved everything. Honorine, who took my reservation, noted all my requests and made sure every one was met. She even kindly arranged taxi transportation for me to Fougeres. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are gorgeous, and the Chateau itself a jewel. The food is creative and delicious and the service is commenadble. It is truly an affordable treat to stay here.

Breakfast was the typical continental breakfast served in a gorgeous dining room worthy of royalty. All the restaurant food is farm to table, produced locally, the jams and honey made at the Chateau itself and they are fantastic!, The croissants were superb, the apple juice from their own apples. American/English cooked breakfast was available for those that wanted it. But there were plenty of offerings of fruits, cereals, yogurts, breads, meats and cheeses to satisfy most appetites Dinner was amazing, served in a knowledgeable, professional but leisurely manner as food this great should not be rushed! the CHateau is an absolute gem.

    Everything was perfect

Hard for me to put into words how special this whole experience was. The chateau itself is so classy with quality decor to match the period. The staff were extremely attentive, the huge room was unbelievably nice with a lake view. Food in the restaurant was high quality and at breakfast was wholesome. Fantastic all round.

Our little one had big expectations for the Salon de Jeux- We were able to let her know that it was a Salon for adults, so boring. :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very accommodating - we were traveling with a little 6-year old girl. The chef prepared a special meal for her and everyone enjoyed our brief visit.

Dinner was expensive, starter included scallops, which were hard to find.

We had our small dog with us so we were located in the annex, perfect as we were on the ground floor, useful to let the dog out! We had dinner and breakfast in the room. Dinner was nice but minimal, breakfast was good and huge!

The menu had only two choices and if was not so easy if you dont like marinated or cru fish, which I dont. Understand its off season but the restaurant was quite full so maybe an alternative to two choices would have been good. The wine list was very good but somewhat pricey for instance a Muscadet. The bar wasnt really a set up bar and it could have been very atmospheric, the mystery of the Chateau was there but not exploited in the downstairs Bar/gamesroom, not really a gamesroom as it had maybe three boardgames. Not a big problem . Our room was cold when we got there but they did have an electric heater to help out warm the room, It would have been nice to walk into the room already at a good temperature. You need a car or other transport to get to the Chateau although that comment maybe a little picky, beautiful area.

Top marks for staff very helpful and professional. Gorgeous chateau but did look better in th evening, bit dull in the daytime but possibly because we saw the dining rooms before they were set so a bit unfair . The Bar and gamesroom bit featureless and cold. The rooms beautifull and very lage , surroundings fabulous and beautifully kept landscapes. Modern bathroom , well designed. Very peaceful and quiet which was welcomed.
