So the only thing missing might have been a small shop onsite. With the beautiful self catering properties and the site, you had to go out to get anything you forgot, like milk or bread or whatever.

Fabulous property. Beautiful view from it with well equipped outside space. Bedrooms were all lovely with nice bathrooms and plenty of towels including pool towels. Property had everything you might need.

There was a conference on our last two days of our stay. The hotel did warn us that however, we were sat on the terrace enjoying a bottle of wine and was told to leave because we weren’t allowed to stay in that area. Our last day we were refused drinks at the bar because it was only open to the conference. Resulting in us leaving the hotel early and going to the airport.

Absolutely STUNNING! Loved our holiday and already making plans to return next year. We had a wine tour and tasting which was amazing, learnt so much and the wine is incredible!

After a 7 hour journey. It would be nice to be offered an arrival drink in reception! Not everyone loves around the corner ! I had to ask for a glass of water while our passports & check in details were taken. This disappointed us . Carrying our own bags to the room too. Would have been nice to have been offered assistance! A hotel chateau of this calibre should do better !!!

The pool was fabulous...really big with unparalleled views over vinyards and waterways. Comfortable loungers and a great pool bar serving snacks and drinks (my kids really enjoyed the excellent chips) We had a room in the chateau and it was very tastefully furnished. Large bathroom, super comfortable beds and I loved the turrets staircase. I slept very well both nights which is a rarity for me. Borrowing bikes from the hotel to cycle (roadfree) to Gruissan was the highlight. Lovely town with excellent restaurants and the cycle ride there was spectacular (along beautiful rivers). We ate in the hotel restaurant, Asana and although the menu was quite simple (a grill offering a variety of meats/fish), it was executed very well. The grilled half onions were a surprising hit with the whole family. We played petanque, swam, cycled, spent time in the small but perfectly formed spa, drank good wine and soaked up the views...all in all a perfect couple of nights. This was a treat for us and a stretch for our budget but we felt the splurge was worth it as it surpassed our expectations.

Vegan/ Veggie options were lacking and if you stay for a few days (which we did) we ended up eating the same food every night.

It's a great place but if you don't have a car everything is a taxi away so made us feel a little trapped in the luxury. Would definitely go again but next time with a car!

There was nothing I did not like about this property.

Everything was amazing from the reservation and confirmation process to arrival and additional services. The best part was the fact that the staff pointed out a cheaper option for a family of four to use the villas instead of the individual rooms.

The insects inside the villas, which were found in the shower, front door, bathroom etc. I’m terrified but the staff helped to remove upon call.

I loved the breakfast delivery to the villas. The staff from the restaurant Asado was professional and went above and beyond with their kindness and service. I also loved the spa service!! The massage, mani and pedi were 10/10.

A lot of noise from very young children (0-2 years) at the pool, all meal times and in the rooms themselves. Sleep was disturbed both nights. No luggage rack in room so difficult to unpack. Low value for money when compared to other high end hotels on same trip. Communication breakdown resulted in an extra cost incurred at dinner when trying to swap out potatoes for a different side and almonds were often added to most meal items (meats, vegetables, potatoes etc). Musical entertainment did not suit the aesthetic of the property (largely backing track and not live high standard live music). Reception difficult to find upon arrival as the clear signage isn’t visible from car park. The grounds are not suitcase friendly so be prepared to carry. A slight unpleasant smell was sometimes present in reception and in air conditioning systems (possibly due to the age if the buildings or a septic tank issue).

Bottle of wine as a welcome gift is a great touch - also having assistance with luggage up to the attic rooms was useful. Beautiful pool. Room was well decorated (especially bathroom).

The pictures of rooms in booking are different from the real room . Why don't you put real pictures ? The room we got wasn't what we saw in booking. Disappointed . And we had too much stuff and they gave us the last floor . There wasn't any lift ...
