We ordered drinks at the hotel’s bar at 21:45, but we were not informed that the whole area is closed after 22, after which we were invited to finish them in our rooms. It is understandable, but we would have appreciated a heads up when ordering.

The property is clean, easily accessible and the staff is friendly. Rooms are just enough for basic stay.

When booking using Booking.com I had put a comment (in the application) requesting a parking spot in the hotel’s car park. Upon arrival, the staff told me that they had not received that request, and that it was the case very often with Booking.com. Therefore either there was an issue on the hotel’s side or there is indeed an issue with Booking.com. I would like Booking.com to comment on that.

We were greeted by a polite young man who spoke good English. The room was quaint but large and well equipped. The hotel was well placed within the town and we would have stayed longer if we could. Overall a very pleasent place to rest.

The shower was hard work. Very tricky to get right. Thought, overall, the place was fine but would benefit from the owners/management staying in each room for a couple of nights to see what guests see.

The reception works only until 9pm (wrongly indicated as 10pm on booking.com). We arrived later and had no issues because we called beforehand and the staff arranged for us to enter on our own. However, it's probably worth knowing in case you prefer to have a reception open until later.

Great location, free public parking close by. The bed was comfortable and the room was very simple, but clean.

The bathroom needs a renovation. The air conditioner was not working, and we were told they were waiting for it to be repaired. Having the window open resulted lots of noisy traffic on the road in front. No elevator if you are expecting one.

Good, well situated option for lodging in the area. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Close to all the sites in Amboise and within driving distance to many chateaux. For the price, it worked well for our needs.

The bed sheets and duvet fabric was a different type of fabric than normal cotton sheets. They were textured and not smooth.

The room was clean and the location of the hotel is great. The sitting areas off the lobby are a nice touch to the property.

Ideally located, parking nearby for 10 euros. Comfortable beds average size room. Shower was very good. Coffee and kettle. Town centre but quiet. 2 floors no lift but ok for us. Helpful reception. Very satisfied.

The pillows were too hard and lack of a luggage rack

The front desk staff were very nice. The breakfast was good. The room is very small but adequate though it could be improved by having a slightly larger table to put things on and a luggage rack. Having to open your suitcase case either on the floor or the bed is a bummer.

The room had a sloping roof on one side of the bed which reduced the space and made that side of the room feel a bit cramped. There were some inconsiderate guests who came back late and were noisy on the stairs and in the corridor, and as our room door opened diretly out onto the stairs they woke us up, which was annoying. Although the cycle storage was excellent, there was a short steep ramp to get into the garage - not a major problem for us and the staff were helpful and opened up both doors to make it easier, but I noticed it was tricky for a couple of people with e-bikes which are much heavier.

The room was a good size, bathroom was large. The Breakfast was good and it was only a short walk from the hotel to the centre of town and thw chateau. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were cycling and the cycle storage was excellent (plus they were very happy to store our bags which were delivered/collected by a baggage transfer service).
