No kettle in our room. Slight problem with check-in as their doorbell didn't appear to work and we had to shout to let them know to unlock the gate

Lovely convenient quiet stopover near St Dizier halfway to Alsace from Calais. The room was quaint and clean with a microwave and small fridge and good ensuite shower. Luc and Cristiane were superb hosts. We had intended to stock up on food supplies at the local mini-market but it was closed as it was a public holiday. Our hosts said we could eat at the outside table and kindly made us scrambled eggs and salad, which was much appreciated as they do not normally do this. Superb breakfast as Luc is a retired baker and we had homemade bread, jams etc. Secure parking behind a locked gate and we were given a fob for the gate.

We had trouble finding the property as sat nav took us to the road name but 10km away in a different village (user error!)

Breakfast was entirely home made produce, locally sourced and despite the language barrier, our hosts were the most lovely people and nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the comfort of a traditional french home

Everything was very good. The owners are very warm and friendly. Amazing breakfast as the husband is a retired baker. There was also a family with children and they were lovely to the kids as well. Very good value for money too.

I loved this old style French experience. The location was lovely situated in a massive fruit and vegetable garden with a sitting out are that we were able to enjoy. The hosts were charming and could not have made us feel more welcome. The breakfast was a varied selection of breads and preserves made from fruit grown in the garden. Lovely!

Absolutely amazing. Attention to detail - place settings immaculate and wanting for nothing. Home-made yoghurt, 6 jams, croissants, brioche, artisan bread and galette all made by our hosts Christine & Luc. Apple juice, coffee and a Twinings tea selection. This was a 5 Star, Four Seasons breakfast. Super clean and charming room with a very comfortable bed. Secure parking. The most pleasant and helpful hosts I have ever encountered in all my years travelling in 15 different countries. They even packed up the leftover bread and galette for our journey!

If you are only able to speak German or English fluently, you might have a problem. The hosts only speak French. However, communication could take place.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly even though we couldn't speak French ..we used a translator app. The breakfast was delicious ,everything home made by hosts ..juice from own apples , jams from own grown fruits and delicious croissants and bread ...an excellent stopover on our journey .

What a lovely couple! Such a warm welcome. Very pretty house and comfortable room. Great facilities. Great situation to walk into the village. We do not speak French and neither did the couple speak English but with Google translate we managed perfectly and conversed well. The breakfast was delicious, all home made pastries, flan, jams, juice and yoghurt made with their own produce. Superb!
