I can't think of anything that would have enhanced our stay at this lovely property.

Our hosts made us SO welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they helped us with an unexpected problem, allowing us to cook and eat a meal in their beautiful garden. Breakfast was fabulous with everything home made ~ bread, crepes, yogurt, 4 different jams from fruit in their garden...

The bedroom is a bit small, as there is nowhere to sit, it didn't bother us too much as we were out most of the day. On a warm evening you can sit outside on the verandah.

Madame offered an excellent continental breakfast homemade crepes, egg custard jams etc. The garden was pretty and being high summer all the flowers were out. The bedroom was comfortable and clean.

Located a short taxi ride outside Bayeaux, about €15 in a taxi so don’t have to drive for a drink and dinner etc The hosts were lovely and even got up earlier than usual to give me a breakfast before I left.

My hosts' English is similar to my French, but we managed to communicate just fine nevertheless!

Sommervieue is a wonderful place and this was very clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation. I came and went as I pleased without any problem. The wifi was good strength and I could park right outside. Exactly what I wanted!

Nicole and Eric were exceptionally kind in every possible way. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I really enjoyed my stay, and if I am ever considering coming back to the region, I would definitely book with them again.

We liked everything, we realize that we were guests in their home.

We decided to do a bed and breakfast in a rural location rather than stay in Bayeux. We loved staying at Nicole and Eric’s home. They are very lovely, generous, hard working people (who do not speak English). Nicole uses Google translate well. They welcomed us like family and prepared a delicious breakfast each morning.

The owners are so friendly. They have taken great care to keep the house and gardens in immaculate and beautiful condition. The room for 3 persons was good enough with comfortable bed and it was spotless as well as the bathroom. Breakfast- astonishing!!

Wonderful home stay (B&B) experience. Nicole and Eric were so helpful and friendly and the room/bed were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was all home made and delicious. One thing to note: You need a car, or if you are on a bike as I was, it is a 5k ride to the village for dinner. I do not speak French and they do not speak English so we used google translate to get things done which was easy enough.

The hosts didn’t speak English but used a translating app to communicate. They were very kind & thoughtful. Breakfast included 4 different homemade preserves, 3 different breads, yogurt, cheese & baked egg custard. A fabulous stay for a reasonable price.

Excellent location for Bayeux & D Day Memorials. Beautiful property, spotless accommodation & lovely gardens. The host was very nice & clearly presented all relevant information very thoughtfully (for non French speaking Brits) via a smart phone translator. Breakfast was delicious, fresh & tasty with a couple of home made Normandy treats included. Highly recommended.

Impeccably clean, had part of the home to ourselves, private toilet and beautiful bathroom, bedroom had very comfortable bed, plenty of storage for motorcycle gear and patio doors leading to our private terrace, a garage for the motorcycle

The location was perfect for our needs… it is very close to Normandy sites, especially Arromanches and Bayeux. The breakfast was absolutely perfect! Homemade crepes, yogurt, jams, and rice pudding, fresh bread from the bakery, ham and Camembert. Our hosts were a lovely couple, who take great pride in their immaculate guest home The garden surrounding the house is stunning! ! If you are looking to stay in a home, with French character and charm… this is your place!
