Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomStayed there last year as well. The breakfast facilities were not as good as last year. The offering was similar in terms of type of continental breakfast and cereal but was always lacking in terms of content/amount available and even available cutlery and coffee mugs. Last year we had boiled eggs (which was nice) but none this year. It wasn't as good as last year.
Location and convenience. Rooms are basic but reasonable and beds are surprisingly comfortable. Towels in the room. Shower facilities are basic but usable. Bike storage is great. We like staying there. We only use it as a base as we are out all day anyway.

United KingdomThe Nant didn’t live up to the photos. It looks much cozier and cleaner online. Our bathroom smelt a little mouldy too. And there was quite a lot of dust in corners of rooms.

SwitzerlandSheets didn't look so clean (there were stains on them and didn't really smell good, we had to ask them to change them), room didn't smell good when we arrived (I think the rug like that isn't a really good idea and not hygienic)
The warm pain au chocolat in the morning, staff seemed nice when they were there, but at least they responded quickly by message.

United KingdomWe realised our mattresses were upside down meaning the first night, before we realised, we slept terribly. Also, the shower drain was blocked when we first got there, however, once we made the staff aware of the problems they were quick to respond.
The staff were very responsive to our requests when there were problems with our room. Maddie was particularly helpful with answering our questions about the best ski slopes, restaurants and transport routes. The breakfast was generous and there were ample refreshments all day to help yourself to.

United KingdomNoisy, creaky floors and stairs throughout the property. If you're a light sleeper it will bother you too! Hallways and communal areas in a need of a clean. Poor quality beds En suite facilities were tiny pre fabricated plastic pods. Rooms are very basic and felt more like what I would expect from a hostel.

United KingdomOn the less good side: the public areas, especially around the rooms are scruffy. The rooms are small, and the bathroom tiny. The self-check in was not particularly helpful as there was an issue getting into one of the rooms. It also felt pricey for what it is.
On the positive side, the room was clean, some of the staff were really friendly and the location, though a little outside the village centre was right by a bus stop and it didn't take long to walk in, anyway. Breakfast was also good.

United KingdomWe felt that two lighter sofa chairs were a bit dirty and cushions need replacing or cleaning. Tea/Coffee area looked messy, not very inviting and needed a good clean and re tidy. Once you go upstairs the hotel felt like a hostel. Really messy paintwork, old carpet, all landing area needed a clean and hoover. I know this paintwork effect can sometimes look retro and cool but this vibe isn’t created when an area is dirty. Ensuite bathrooms were awful, so full of damp/mould/mildew and terrible smell because of this. Shower curtains were dirty. Radiators in both rooms had constant dripping noise and weren’t big enough to put towels on so we then had damp smell of towels in bedroom too. Beds for me and my daughter were ok in 202, but my husband’s in 205 (Aspen) was really creaky with every move and he felt too small. The young men who worked there did not smile or give the impression they were staff at all, friendly enough when asked for more dishes but not welcoming. Maddie was excellent, very attentive and friendly, so willing to give information about slopes etc.
The Nant was very accessible with bus or easy walk. The communal area was welcoming, and had a cool friendly vibe. The dining room was light and airy, tables and chairs were good. Pool room very handy and a great idea.

United KingdomReally small bathroom with tiny sink that was almost impossible to be used for anything other than washing your hands (rinsing teeth or washing your face was a challenge). Also, our bathroom was dirty on our arrival (i had to clean it before the use) loads of hair left (presumably from previous guests) which made me gag, spider webs in a room and loads if dust/dirt underneath the beds 😞
Great location, 15mins walk to the main centre. Nicely equipped- garage to keep your bikes with all needed tools etc, presure wash to clean your bike, pool table, access to tea and coffee all day, as well as option to buy beer, wine at really low prices.

United KingdomAn amazing stay, close enough to walk in to the centre (if your not in ski boots). The room felt really homely and was great value for money compared to other stays in the area especially including breakfast. You can get buses from directly outside the property and they have boot room for storing skis. Only downside was the locks are quite dated on the rooms so a little hard to lock and also the bathroom resembled a ship wet room and water would leak from the shower. But I would 100% stay again
