We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing negative, it’s a brilliant property and friendly owner
Gorgeous chalet, nicest place we have ever stayed. Super comfortable, clean, modern, beautiful views and spacious master bedroom and lounge room The added touch of Audrey dropping breakfast every morning was brilliant and made life easy. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to eat in and social space is roomy and we loved having use of the sauna and small pool. Yes it’s a walk up the hill, we used the board locker in town a few times and rode in a few times but you get used to it. The hill is just off the Main Street though so very central with bars right below. Would highly recommend staying here.

BelgiumWe had a wonderful stay at Chalet Le 1700! We stayed in the chalet for six people and had a 1.5-year-old child with us. The chalet was very well-equipped, beautifully decorated, and offered an incredible view of the mountains. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The included breakfast each morning was excellent, and having access to the wellness area for three days was a perfect way to relax after skiing. Our host, Audrey, was very friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend this chalet and will be coming back if we visit Les Deux Alpes again!

United KingdomNothing really. The hill leading up to the chalet is taxing after a day skiing but that’s the only thing we could comment on as a slight negative.
The property was beautifully decorated with modern decor, it was clean and the host was excellent.

United KingdomNothing - all good.
Here’s what we loved about Chalet 1700 and our Les Deux Alpes holiday: - the property location was excellent and very central, situated up a steep side street which was a quick 5-10 mins walk downhill to the main hub of shops bars restaurants and ski lifts. A little longer walking back up, depending on fitness and snow/ice conditions! - easy to get to ski lifts - especially the the new Jandri 3 lift - fantastic views from our tastefully designed chalet across to the glacier slopes. - well laid out and designed chalet (plenty of wardrobe/storage space) had everything we needed to self cater, do laundry and more importantly relax and enjoy our holiday in style. - Audrey our great chalet host was very helpful before we arrived answering questions, making suggestions and booking restaurant for us. - Audrey also picked up our lift passes before we arrived and dropped off our pre-ordered bread and pastries at 8am each morning which was great to ensure we got to the slopes promptly having had breakfast and with a picnic lunch. Nothing was too much trouble. - Onsite small pool/sauna was added bonus - Onsite massages from Audrey were very good, relaxing and just what I needed. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable New Year Eve weeks skiing in a fantastic chalet with a great host.

United Kingdom.
Incredible chalet, only a few minutes walk from the main ski lift. Clean, comfortable, attention to detail in each room was exceptional. Indoor pool and sauna was a great treat after a day on the slopes. Audrey, the chalet owner, was fantastic - always on hand for any help or advice regarding our stay. Quite a steep slope leading up to the chalet, which can be quite challenging if you're walking back from Apres Ski or a meal, but nothing insurmountable

Great location in a quiet area of the town but only a short walk to restaurants. Comfortable and spacious apartment with lovely view of the town and mountains from the balcony. Great breakfast with a choice of fresh pastries and bread brought to the apartment each morning. Great coffee machine. It was also great to have private use of pool and sauna on three days. Being able to park the car in a garage was appreciated too.

Chalet le 1700 is a beautiful chalet that makes your stay in Les deux Alps perfect. the decor inside is fantastic and the facilities on offer are everything you would require and more! the kitchen and dining facilities are a great alternative to eating out, especially after a hard days skiing when you would prefer to stay in and have an early night! The Chalet is ideally located within the town and a 5 minute walk to the nearest lift. the property is located on the top of a hill but it’s not an issue and provides a beautiful viewpoint across Les deux. breakfast from Audrey the host is 10/10 and fuels you up for the day ahead.

United KingdomWalk up the hill on the way home after a days skiing was a killer. I would have happily paid a little more for a shuttle service up the hill. I saw some of these around but couldn't find details.
The pastries and bread in the morning where lovely as well as the stocked fridge on arrival. Pool/relaxation area was very nice and a great place for the kids to unwind, I would love to have had more access to this. Audrey was super helpful through out our stay. Chalet was very well kitted out and we stayed in and cooked most of our meals. Plenty of room for a family of four to stretch out and get some peace and quiet if needed. Shower really hot and powerful. Great view from the balcony over the town/valley.

United KingdomIf we have to find anything, I’d say the location is not great if you have mobility issues as the walk from the town is a bit steep (it wasn’t a problem for us but to bear in mind if you do have issues).
A beautiful, contemporary and comfortable chalet. Audrey, the hostess, is very helpful and always at hand to help with anything. The chalet has a magnificent view over the mountains and the furnishing is just delightful.

United KingdomWe stayed in the Muzelle part of the Chalet and it was fantastic. The view is amazing from the living area and the whole chalet is modern and cosy. Audrey was happy to help with anything we needed, collecting our ski passes, recommending restaurants and bringing fresh pastries, bread, jams & juices every morning. The spa is a great way to end the day and our share was 3 days of the week which worked out great. Our friends also enjoyed a massage from Audrey who offers this professional service as well.

We had a fantastic week in Chalet le 1700. The apartment is incredibly beautiful, very spacious and everything is new and well thought out. The wellness area with pool and sauna is a wonderful supplement. And the view over the city and the mountains is magnificent! Audrey is the sweetest host you could imagine - she is incredibly helpful and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast-delivery each morning also works out just fine. We would highly recommend this apartment and would love to return anytime.

United KingdomNothing to do with the Chalet but if you have young children and want to send them to ski school avoid ESF. They were rude and refused to allow our children into group lessons and we were pushed into 1:1 lessons. (They left our eldest in their Chalet with a non English speaker and told her, her lesson was over and she had to wait for us. We found her colouring!) They said they couldn't help the children if they cried. Next year we are going to try them at European Ski school as they are English speaking. We hope this will be a more positive experience.
Audrey couldn't do enough to help us. She was brilliant. She booked our resturants, helped with car hire and researched taxi companies. She is also available for babysitting services. The Chalet was beautiful, well kept and fully stocked. We had one pastry and French stick every day for breakfast. She provided us with Jams, butter, fruit juice, coffee and milk. She even went out of the way to go to the shop and get us oat milk. It was such an amazing experience we have booked to return next year.

SerbiaOur family stay took place between July and August, and the overall impression is that this property is not capable of organizing itself properly during this period. Upon arrival, we were delayed due to traffic. We tried to contact the property to inform them, but no one answered the phone number listed on Booking. No one came to meet us or give us directions. Throughout the entire stay, communication took place exclusively via WhatsApp. During our stay, it was very cold inside the property, especially since the outside temperature was also very low. Only after many requests was the heating turned on. In the entrance hall, the temperature was 6°C and even 9°C, which was very uncomfortable. Breakfast consisted of one pastry and one baguette per person per day, plus one liter of milk, one liter of juice, and one jar of jam for the entire stay for the whole family. On the last day, we didn’t receive breakfast at all — they simply forgot about us. The internet only worked during the last two days of our 7-day stay. The general impression is that Audrey, the administrator, makes every effort for the well-being of her guests. However, during this period she was not present, and the property was managed by Annabelle, who gave the impression of disinterest and a complete lack of professionalism.
Chalet 1700 is a wonderful mountain property with an exceptional location, view, and modern amenities. It is a perfect place for families, relaxation, and enjoying a wonderful mountain atmosphere.
