Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe Chalet is in a 5-10 minutes walk from the télécabine, or just 1 minute walk if you reach the transferbus. The Jacuzzi is very good after skiing whole day. We were living with the family who run the Chalet, even you can have dinner with them at the end of the day!

United KingdomMy only issue would be there was no real choice for breakfast other than cheese and bread. Some cereal, granola, fresh fruit yogurt and eggs would have been a good addition at breakfast.
Great, friendly hosts. Helped with everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was clean and tidy. Only a 5 min walk to the ski lift.

United KingdomThere is a very cute little dog and 7 cats. Not a problem for us. Husband is allergic to cats but didn’t have a real problem as animals are not allowed in rooms.
Host family are lovely and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large with an en-suite bathroom. Very comfortable and clean. This is a guest house so, if you book evening meal, you sit with the family and other guests and eat lovely home cooked food using local produce. Lots of homemade deserts, jams etc.

United KingdomThe property location is perfect for the lifts - five minutes walk with all the ski rental shops together at the bottom of the lift. The property is really homely and the welcome and hospitality from Christian and his wife was fantastic! The place was warm, plenty of room and a great communal area to eat and relax! Breakfast each morning was all locally sourced products and if you choose to have dinner with the family you will not be disappointed!!! Christian was incredibly helpful with information about the local area and travelling alone with two young girls I felt perfectly safe and looked after.

Very friendly hosts, excellent breakfast prepared on the spot, warm rooms, big bathroom, nice balcony view, spacious parking lot, good price considering the timing/location, easy access to main road. As a suggestion to host: to add the house number for the street.

United KingdomWe took the dinner, the portion was good but we got the main meal it was almost 10pm (when it began at 7.30pm), so it was a very long dinner. The room was next to the dinner/breakfast area, so not the quiet space in the chalet.
Enjoying the swimming pool after a long hike was very nice. The 2 hosts were very nice and kind and their dogs pretty funny !

United KingdomBreakfast was far too limited, my son is 8 years old and there was nothing suitable for him on the first day - we had to ask them to buy childrens cereal for day 2, the choice of food was very limited - stale bread, muesli and a selection of cheeses. The beds are very small and not comfortable, the arrival area has a drying rack for ski boots which is helpful but they have a number of pets so it smells of dog/cat.
Friendly people running the place, easy parking, location OK if you have a car, drier for ski boots.

United KingdomArriving at night was a challenge as sat nav and Google maps took us past the farm track to get to the property. Trust the local signpost not Sat nav!
Our hosts were extremely welcoming. The breakfast was amazing - home made preserves and cheeses and fresh coffee with rustic breads, cheeses and terrines. If you like being a special guest in someone’s home this is perfect.

United KingdomThe chalet was not clean. The entrance hall is very small and the smell is awful. It smelt like animal urine that has not been cleaned up. The whole building is very cluttered and very dirty. The bedrooms had a lack of storage. We found animal faeces under the kitchen table.
The owners were mostly friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm. The location was good for the free ski bus that takes you to the Vercland lift. The breakfast was OK but very basic. We asked for pastries for the children and these were supplied from halfway through.

United KingdomThere was a small dog and cat that are allowed to roam the chalet - there was animal hair and a musty smell in the communal areas because of it. There was not enough space to relax in the communal space as there was too much furniture crammed into a small place. The chalet website must use photos from the previous owners. The cleanliness of the entrance area was very poor and the boot room was incredibly cluttered. It’s more of a guest house set-up vs a classic chalet set-up - we felt like visitors in a family home.
The bedrooms were comfy and clean. The evening food and wine was delicious. The hosts were very friendly.

United KingdomWe liked it all, although if you want swanky and slick this isn't the accommodation for you. It is laid back chalet where you are literally a guest in someone's home - if that's not your thing then you may want to opt for a hotel or self catering
We loved our stay at Chalet Esprit. Cristian and Patricia couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was continental and consisted of fresh bread and local meats and cheeses, as well as juice and great coffee and variety of teas. The 4 course dinners were superb! Everyone eats around the same table including the host family, and on the day all 17 guests wanted to eat, the kids had theirs on the sofas playing the Wii -they were very happy with that arrangement!!! The food was home-made and locally sourced, consisting of many local traditional dishes. Cristian is very good at matching up the perfect beverage to go with each meal. Nothing is too much trouble for Cristian and Patricia, who happily catered for pescatarian, vegetarian and gluten free diets whilst we there.

United KingdomDespite how friendly our hosts were, they encouraged us to drink the beer and opened wine without asking, knowing they were going to charge premium bar rates. We would have been ok if they told us or charged a reasonable amount. Also the food on the last day was boiled pork and not great or cheap. Pity as we would have gone back had they not been greedy on the charges and left a bad taste in the mouth.
Chalet was warm, bed comfortable, shower good, hot tub good, location about 10 minutes walk from main lift, breakfast ok if you like baguette, jam, cheese, pork and tea/ coffee

ItalyIt was a unique experience! We had dinner with the hosts and the other guests and we really felt as a big family. They made us try local food (deliciously homemade) and wines which we could have never found alone, and we meet a lot of people and exchange stories and traditions. Highly suggested, it's more than a b&b
