United KingdomThe hotel is in an excellent location at the top of the resort - ski in and out of you wish- even though we went late in the season. Good ski hire shop. Excellent boot room. Flat was cosy but adequate - we had a 7 month baby and had pre booked cot and high chair. We had to chase this up and the high chair was broken. All got sorted. Kitchen equipment very basic and no sharp knifes. If you want to cook take a sharp knife! Only one knife fork etc per person For apres ski there is a lovely bar and a sunny terrace with great views. Well behaved babies and children welcome and there was a supply of box games - eg scrabble. For those in a flat/ residence there is a pool and gym which were both fine. If you want to upgrade to the Spa area and f the hotel there is a fee. We didn’t try it- but it looked good. Only had one lunch in the hotel and not our favourite meal of the holiday! Overall we thought this suited our needs and thinking of booking again.

Excellent location beside the piste, with free shuttle to the village if needed. Bar and facilities all great.

United KingdomAt the time of check-in both rooms in our party had not had cigarette butts removed from the ashtray and floor of the terrace. Getting anything provided to us (robes, slippers, toilet paper) took forever and required 3+ insistent phone calls. The restaurant needs some upgrading with better quality tables, table cloths and more attentive staff. But the food was actually quite good.

United KingdomOur 3rd floor apartment had a separate toilet with no wash basin (although bizarrely the radiator was equipped with a towel). To wash hands after using the loo you therefore had to go into kitchen (2 door handles) or through the bedroom to the shower room (3 door handles). Bad design and not hygienic. Ski in/out involved crossing to the hotel side, climbing to 1st floor there (no lift) and going through the ski hire shop. Since we hired from that shop it was odd they didn't offer to store the skis there overnight.
Very clean, well equipped kitchen/living area, comfortable bed. Excellent restaurants in hotel.

PortugalResidence ski room far from the slopes (you have to walk, carrying you ski material). Odors in the room/ questionable cleaning, having asked throughout the stay to look into it, but without any action. Residence services are generally poor (ski passes taken care at the hotel, but as reception only opens at 9am, on the first day we had to wait to head to the slopes). All in all, the offer is not according to the expected luxury and respective pricing.

SingaporeThe hotel is far from the slopes. They have a shuttle service but it’s not the same as staying right by the slopes. Val Thorens is a car free city (you can only drive in and out of if) so the distance of the hotel from the slopes and other amenities matters. At checkout in the morning the staff were very rude. Asking time and again to wash all dishes, making sure trash is thrown, the apartment is clean, put back all the plates in the exact same location you got it from in your cupboard, place towels in a certain way. Its like they will get the leaving guest to do all the cleanup for the next arriving guest. The staff took our credit card details saying ‘what if’ our car knocks the carpark or something. Totally unacceptable and absurd behaviour. Very high rates for parking the car at the hotel.
The night staff is good. The shuttle service is good.
