We came here for a few days to watch the Tour de France. Pleasantly surprised that the shops, bars restaurants in Valmoral were open in July. Because the weather wasn't as good as we had hoped our host suggested a trip up the mountain and a walk to the Col de la Madeleine which was a good day out and was quite an effort. We had dinner and drinks on the first evening, but ate out the other two nights. Breakfast was good and we were offered eggs on our final morning.

Very noisey - you can hear stomping from rooms above and chatting from below and on the landing, cars and people outside sound like they’re in your room. Basic amenities for a hotel, feels “cheap and cheerful” even though it’s expensive.

Convenient location to the bus stop for a short ride to the village to go skiing. Breakfast supplied although average.

On the road back from a 8 days trip in Italy/South of France. That was the best price/value of the trip. It is not a 4 stars hotel but the owners' attention make it a bit like one.

Really friendly, comfortable, welcoming hotel just on the outskirts of Valmorel. Congenial, cosy bar area, nice room with a view of the mountains and a very good shower. Breakfast was excellent and the owners could not have been more helpful - phoning several local restaurants on our behalf to make a dinner booking and very kindly starting breakfast a bit early to make sure we could eat before our early departure.

We had a fun evening at this hotel en route to our ski destination. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the family vibe at the place was lovely. Our breakfast was really good and the rooms were clean and neat with a fantastic shower. There is great parking and you are in the heart of a little village which makes it quite special.

There was no sheet on the bed, we slept on a mattress topper that had hair from previous customers on it. The bathroom was not very clean.

This hotel is overrated on Booking. Rooms are very basic, smell in bathroom, hotel structure in general is old. Breakfast buffet is ok, but do not expect too much.

The accommodation itself is very basic, like a youth hostel you might go to on a school trip, you can hear everything going on in the next rooms and the beds are quite hard.

Everything. The staff were amazing. Were arrived late and hadn't booked a meal but they went out of their way to feed us a full 3 course meal which included a beer, a large beer. The rooms were clean and spacious, beds very comfortable and the view was second to few.

We were in the Annex, you could hear your neighbours breathing, god forbid if they had a child or made a phone call. Bring ear plugs!

The hotel manager and his wife are very friendly and do everything to make you feel at home. We had the best time to de-stress. The half board option is great. The breakfast and food is very nice. Wine is included in the half board. Very good value for money! The location up in the valley is very good. We were there for the hiking. Beautiful surroundings. Beautiful hiking trails and views on views on views! On a clear day you see Mont Blanc. The adventure card from the tourist information for a week is very good, the cable cars/lifts , some activities and the swimming pools are included. The lifts are good to take you up the mountains for hiking.

There was nothing to complain about! All was great! Location, hosts, food, wine, all!

Hotel is very nice, high up in the mountains, close to the ski slopes (if you go in the winter, that is a big plus). Hosts were very friendly and helpful! They managed to change our rooms to better fit our needs (we were 6 guys, needed separate beds, they made that happen). I recommend you also have dinner in the hotel's restaurant! Food is very good and plentiful! We really enjoyed our stay!

The host are very nice. But I don’t know who advertise those photos that I saw on your website. My room was creepy and about 4 am it very loud due to construction going on during the night.

The host are very nice . Breakfast it’s yummy and the view of the mountains are very pretty if you get the right room with balcony.
