We were assigned on top floor, we have 3 kids and there's no lift

The staff are super nice and accommodating. The ambiance outside of the hotel is very peaceful and the place itself is beautiful.

The only small downside was the absence of chairs and a table in the room, but overall it was a great place to stay.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making my stay very enjoyable. The host was friendly and responsive, which made the check-in process smooth.

In the description of the reservation it wasn’t detailed the accomodation, which wasn’t a room in the Chateau but a cabin in the wood: nice but different from what expected and expensive to be a simole cabin

Excellent location for a stop off on the way back to the UK from further south. Very good value for large families like ours. Very comfortable beds, and lovely breakfast. The children enjoyed learning the history of the place as well.

Pity there was no evening meal available but receptionist had some good recommendations in the nearby town.

The breakfast was better than I expected. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting was quite something. Overall a unique experience.

Bathroom is really small, it could be a problem for some people.

After reading a lot of negative comments, my expectations where really low, but I think that this place is decent, not superb, but everything was clean, calm location, nice staff, good breakfast.

Poor room lighting (no task lighting in family room - needed to keep ceiling light on keeping kids awake). Rooms in a developing condition (new bathroom versus scruffy room). School group learning concept not explained (school excursion/field trip venue not explained at booking). Restaurant not serving during summer. None of this explained on website or at time of booking. Difficult to contact hotel direct except through UK (not ideal).

It is after all a old building with long corridors and stairs but it actually adds to the charm. Room cleanliness could have been on a slightly higher level. Spiderweb in the corners/ceiling and old bird droppings on the window, all "natural" causes but would have made a big difference in the overall experience. The bath/shower fittings could do with some TLC...

Location was perfect in a small village only 10 minutes drive from the coastline. A charming place, far from the boring "chain hotels". Nice garden, very friendly and relaxed staff in a great old building. I stayed with my boys aged 9 & 12 and we all loved the evening walk in the surrounding countryside. Dinner (reasonably priced) was amazing. Car park just around the corner. I can definitely recommend Chateau Baffy!

Toilet set broken and chipped, dirty toilet brush. No left stairs difficult to manage with luggage.

Having booked the accommodation to escape a night camping in the pouring rain, the Chateau Baffey was exactly what we needed. The staff were very accommodation considering we were soaking and had somewhere to put our bikes. The bar was comfortable and breakfast was a good continental spread. The room was large enough to fit all four of us.
