The rooms are pristine clean. You'll need a fan for some nights as the rooms can get a bit warm. The area is quiet. There is a private parking. The place feels safe and secure. It is a good compromise to be based in.

Nothing really. All is well organised.

Lovely room, comfortable, clean with a view on the mountains and river. Nice facilities. Breakfast was ok, very green and beautiful territory. A bit sad that the pool didn't work, though it was May. Great area to work on distance. Would love to come back for a longer time one day :)

Closed pool, little option of salty food for breakfast, no eggs or omlette.

easy to locate. plenty of parking. Easy access to bedroom. Swimming pool was excellent - never expected it to be open out of season. Thanks. comfortable and warm room despite inclement weather. The bar , always a welcome after a long day. Excellent communication before arrival, we felt well cared for. Happy welcome.

The evening dinner was a disappointment, although adequate. We expected home cooking as is normal in an Auberge. par example, a tin of macedoine + salad leaves for entrée - could do better. maybe in high season the 'unique' menu is more adventurous.

The room was fine and the location very scenic but not much happening around it. The unlimited wine from a box did help though.

The dinner and breakfast were both very very average but there is nothing nearby so options are very limited.

The manager takes people for village historical tour or organizes games in the evening, the location is low enough in the valley to connect to other valleys but still below 30-40min from most activities in the Ossau valley. The pool is perfect for the kids and after-hike relaxation. The evening food was very affordable and very tasty.

The breakfast is pretty basic, but you can book sandwiches for your hiking trip. The evening dinner time is fixed, but if you can't make it you can always eat somewhere else. The village is pretty dead but if you drive 15min to Laruns then you get anything you need.

The young girl at the reception was a true GEM. She was very friendly and helpful in trying to find us a place to have dinner (see my comment about dinner below please). The breakfast was good but may I suggest they offer eggs? They could put a basket of hard boiled eggs or perhaps a egg boiler so that guests could boil their own eggs? Any eggs not consumed that breakfast could very well be used the next day (so no waste).

I think they should have said when they emailed to confirm my reservation that I had booked during the Off Season and neither lunch not dinner would be avaialble. This is not that I did not like it but more of a suggestion that management could put a small fridge in the bedrooms and a water kettle.
