How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The property didn’t have any air conditioning even if it was written on booking. The property had a huge difference between the night charges and the dinner price. They didn’t proposed as any fan or anything and we ended up paying more than excepted. Very disappointing we stayed a day instead of 2 days

Verified reviewGreat staff. We had dinner included and the food was really excellent, it was rather slow to arrive but we were not in a hurry. Sauna was hot and was included in the price, the spa area was warm and clean… very nice.

Doors that slam loudly. Not unique to this hotel, but so annoying. Why are they even spring loaded? Front desk service could have been better. In advance of our arrival, we asked about the possibility of a massage. The receptionist could not transfer our call or take reservation, and gave us a wrong number! Because of that, we left messages to a random person and weren't able to book a massage in time. The building is not the most modern, the parking lot is in bad need of repair (large deep pot holes), the area where vehicles drop off luggage is poorly designed. No option to park near the main doors without blocking the entrance.

Verified reviewVery good price/quality ratio for this hotel with spa. The room we had was big enough for the three of us and our XL sized dog, comfortable, with a big bathroom, tea and coffee and a nice garden view. The spa area with its extended opening hours is also nice, with a pretty big swimming pool and sauna, and a jacuzzi. We didn't get any spa treatments though, as apparently you have to reserve those well in advance, but we did get a complimentary hydro-massage. The staff is really attentive and friendly and the restaurant was very helpful in adapting their delicious menu to my food allergies. Finally the surrounding area must be great for long hikes in nature if the weather is good, and in the garden there is a football/basketball field. Definitely recommended!
The mattress was a bit hard for our taste and it would be nice if there would be some separation between the bed room and living room with the sofa bed for families travelling with a child.

Verified reviewWe booked this at short notice, having had to change some plans, and it was just a one-night stop. It was clean (except for a bug on my pillow on arrival, but that went out of the window with no problem, and no others arrived!) and the shower was good. The swimming pool was indoors but a good size, and not too busy. Lots of info in reception about local attractions. A kettle in the room, which is still rare in rural France. The staff were helpful and pleasant, especially the chap on the desk when we checked out.
The room was quite small but fine for one night. A bit hot because there was only one large low window and being on the ground floor next to the car park it seemed a bit unsafe to leave it open. Only one women's shower at the swimming pool with no shower gel and very cramped changing room, so although the pool itself was good the facilities with it did not live up to spa standards. We didn't have breakfast because 19 euros seemed a bit steep.

The staff were ‘difficult’ & when I asked (twice) to settle My account the evening prior to leaving, I was told to donut in the morning. Also the Spa Manager had a very aggressive manner.
