Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyFabrice is a very hearty host - and a very positive person. The kids felt at home. We had a good conversation whilst he had prepared the dinner. Delicious honest food. We had dinner together with a Belgian couple who also stayed in the house. Great evening. We will surely pay him a visit back.

GermanyNothing to dislike really. Fabrice's place is, maybe a little hard to find initially when you are not familiar with the town yet, but we were also tired after a long drive. The driving instructions Fabrice gave us were detailed and easy to understand though. .
Fabrice is hands down the very best host ever! We had a wonderful welcome and felt immediately at home with friends. Fabrice is just a beautiful human being, helpful, caring and extremely attentive to his guests' needs. Thank you!!! The place has its own rustic charm. You don't feel like you're in a hotel or even a bed and breakfast. You feel as if you were at home with family. But you have complete privacy. We had our own two room domaine upstairs with a private bathroom. We would book a room at Casa Marta again in a heartbeat!

United KingdomWe stayed in the ‘garden room’ which is nice and private but maybe a bit ‘rustic’ and felt damp. However, despite this, the bed was comfortable and we both slept very well.
Fabrice, the owner, is friendly, intelligent and welcoming and is an excellent host. Dinner was delicious and breakfast produce was fresh and plentiful.

Host Fabrice was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the welcoming glass of wine on arrival. The evening meal prepared by our host ,regional dishes could not fault. Location after the hike up the hill was well worth it. Really, if you're passing through, consider staying the night here.

SwitzerlandThe fact we had to pass through the garden to reach the main house for dinner and breakfast, especially due to the rain
The location is really peculiar and unusual, but this is indeed the hall mark of this property. The house is the design product of an architect and spaces are somehow unusual. Our room, for instance, was not connected with the main house via an internal staircase and we had to walk out through the garden for dinner and breakfast. Another peculiarity of our room was that one of the walls was inclined and with round windows towards the valley. Beds really comfortable. Host really nice and keen to share. Dinner and breakfast definetively good. There is an extensive garden but the rainy weather wasn't favorable for a tour

GermanyThis was our second time at Fabrice's and we were really looking forward to our stay. The hospitality of Fabrice and his mother make you feel very welcome. The house on the hillside, from which you have a wonderful view of the city, is breathtaking. Everything is clean and comfortably furnished. However, our highlight is the delicious, freshly cooked food from Fabrice, which we have been looking forward to all year :) You then sit at the table in the large living room, jazz playing while you enjoy the sunset. The conversations with the host are always very interesting, you feel very comfortable with Fabrice. The breakfast is also delicious, with lots of different jams! We always like to come back :)

Everything. The house is a gorgeous architect house from the 60s nested into a large garden. The view over Tournon from the living room while having breakfast is a game changer. The host Fabrice is a sunshine - he received us warmly and was generous and helpful through our stay. You’ll get to have a delicious French breakfast here and get a taste of the French culture with Fabrice and his mother.

FranceComfortable and artistic accommodation with a friendly host who was very attentive to our needs. Thank you Fabrice. The panoramic view from our private terrace was a big plus. It was lovely to be able to walk from the house to a beautiful footpath which went along the hillside past ancient towers before dropping down to the town of Tournon and the River Rhône. This house is in peaceful natural surroundings up above the town but close enough to walk down and back up if you are even a moderate walker. There is parking available. All in all an enjoyable stay.
