FinlandThe lady at reception could not inform us in english. Room was ok but not for three persons. There was no planket on extrabed and the extrabed was under the dpuble bed not read to use, covered by dust. We left at 6 am and we could not find any keybox to return it. The gate was closed and there was no way to open it. We needed to climb over the gaye and open it from the other side. This was maybe because of the lack of information or darkness but that’s how it is.
Quite easy access from the parking lot to apartment.

Less than helpful staff when asked if we could get a drink(no, only if you eat in the restaurant but obviously couldn’t) and there were no other restaurants or open supermarkets nearby. Paid for breakfast which was from 7am, no staff on site by 7.15 and reception/restuarant closed and had to leave for the next leg of our journey to Spain. Really poor we have stayed there several times before but this has definitely declined won’t stay again. Worry about health and safety as no staff at this hotel during the night

FranceBooked with Campanile again after an excellent stay at their Chambéry location just 5 days earlier. The Villefranche room was awful. Strong smell of stale cigarettes throughout (despite being a non-smoking establishment) and obviously not properly cleaned. The bathroom was worse, with heavily stained tiles and grouting with mold on the ceiling of the shower. If we hadn't been so tired, we would have left immediately. The whole room just felt delapidated. The bedclothes didn't smell too bad, so we had a short night's sleep and left early. I've trusted the Campanile chain in the past, so this was all quite a shock.
Location was easy to get to.
