The soap/shampoo dispensers were both broken, but that was only down to a bad design and not the fault of any staff. The air conditioning was also faulty.

The location was excellent and the staff were super helpful, welcoming and kind. Breakfast was also very good. Surely that's enough? No? Ok...

The bar and terrace. I arrived a couple of hours before check in at 4pm so went to the bar to relax. The receptionist took the time to find me to tell me my room was ready (before the check in time!)

We had an issue with the WiFi sporadically not functioning on one day of our 3-night stay. We reported this to the staff. They offered no solution, nor did they offer to follow up with technical support. Another issue was that the shower in our room was spraying a lot of water onto the bathroom floor. This was due to the design of the shower, with only a glass pane acting as the shower curtain, and the glass pane was not wide enough to block the water from escaping. We were travelling with another couple and just happened to mention this to them. They told us that their shower had a swing door attached to the glass pane, which would effectively completely seal off the shower and prevent any water spilling from the shower. This was clearly a deficiency in our room. We did not bring this up with reception staff because we did not believe they could fix this until after our departure. However, we mention this here in hopes that hotel management will address this deficiency. Our room number was 356.

Good central Location. Bright, airy feel. Interesting leaflets & objects on display. Breakfast/brunch of superb quality & variety eg scrambled egg & smoked salmon, breads of great quality, choice of real looseleaf tea. Breakfast/dining area very well laid out with choice of low tables w comfortable chairs or more formal, with open air, plants & relaxed vibe.

The toilet was brown at the bottom which looked like old dirt. I did tell the staff about it so hopefully they can clean it a bit better. The room lacks space to place your suitcase, so being two in the room would be very tight with normal sized suitcase.

This is a perfect hotel room when you are looking for: no fuzz, cheap, good location, functional. You just need a clean room and a clean bed to sleep in. I, who don't like to sleep on a stiff bed slept very well. The bed was medium to hard, and comfortable. The closet is of an open design which I like a lot, must be more hygienic. Wifi worked well and there is a small desk for work. USB-outlet by one of the beds. The room lacks most usual toilettries, but there was soap and, surprisingly luxurious towels in the bathroom (a bonus). There is a kettle and a few tea bags and instant coffee of good quality. I found the staff to be very helpful and nice. Several spoke good English which was a plus for me as my French is almost non-existing. I did not have the breakfast. Another convenience is that there is a Taxi station around the corner.

Climatization doesn't work during autumn season and it was officially autumn but the weather was still warm, so it was very uncomfortable during night (since the only way to get fresh air was opening the window and that means to listen to all the street noise). The solution they gave was a fan (not enough to get the room cooled). I suggest the hotel not to be so strict about the climatization policy, nowadays climate is very changing.

Rather, unpleasant check-in Housekeeping barged into the room despite the Do Not Disturb sign hanging outside. Breakfast is very basic, every day same food. No choice of cooking options. Scrambled eggs hideous. ( made from powder?)
