The bar closed rather early, when arriving later in the evening it would be nice if it was open later.

Have stayed at several Campanile's before and they follow a familiar style. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable enough and don't break the bank. This particular hotel was in a small cluster of similar budget hotels on the outskirts of Deauville. Nice quiet location, slightly isolated but by the river with plenty of parking right outside. There was a restaurant just across the road and another about 10 mins walk which was fabulous, en route to Deauville centre. It was quite a way outside the centre (40 min walk) but we didn't have a problem with that, most people would simply drive in, I expect. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Room although clean felt a bit drab and lacked personality

Breakfast has limited options for people who do special nutrition without dairy (milk) products, or gluten, who are intolerant in milk, gluten, etc. Breakfast contains generally products with a lot of saturated fat and processed meat (butter, jambon, bacon, fatty cheese species) which are generally considered as unhealthy. Only eggs, wholewheat bread, fruits, some nuts, oats, yogurts and juices were generally amongst the healthy options. I would love to see avocados, wallnuts, almonds, vegan milks and things like these. Very far by foot from the city of Deauville. You need to walk half an hour to go to the city center, unless you pay 16€ in UBER. The bus that serves the connection from the hotel to the city, line 112, is a big JOKE, only 4 buses per day from and to the hotel (and nearby hotels). We are not all millionaires with Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc, like others there. Not enough options for food around. The room was a bit cold, we tried to turn on the heating but cold air was coming from the ventilator.

The receptionist is a very kind and professional guy who always welcomes the guests and wishes "enjoy your meal" during the breakfast.

Dinner was poor: only pizza main course and the starter and desert were most basic. Maybe because it was New Year’s Day, but it still cost nearly €30 which wasn’t fair. Mattress was lumpy and seen a lot of action I guess. Noise from adjoining room was very loud. I made loud noises a few times and they stopped.

Typical Campanile, great room, free parking, safe. Warm room. Grateful for giving me the room key at 14h40. Cheap price.

The electric kettle was dangerously close to the bed. I could not move it away as the cable to its base was attached through the desk. My son got burnt from a similarly positioned kettle in a similar hotel long ago. The bathroom was very well fitted out but the sensor in the sink tap was erratic so it was difficult to get water.

Easy parking. Nicely landscaped. Pleasant walk into the beautiful town of Deauville. Pleasant, hard working, helpful staff.

Insufficient milk to make tea etc 2 cartons definitely not enough and reception did not have any more, but they did give us a jug of milk to use. Very few tea or coffee pods. On Tuesday we received an email saying come and enjoy our buffet. On arrival at the hotel we were told that there was no buffet, and in fact we were not advised at that point to book a table, so later we had to wait for some time to be able to be seated. In our opinion, on arrival at the hotel guests should be advised what restaurant facilities are available and whether they need to book a table for that evening.

Comfortable room, clean and in a quiet location convenient to car park on ground floor as requested.

More of a motel/ hostel than hotel Entrance to our room on the second floor was around an external spiral staircase, which wasn’t easy with suitcases.
