How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We really enjoyed our stay at Campanile Clermont-Ferrand. It’s a perfect place for an overnight stop: the rooms are comfortable, clean, and convenient. The breakfast and dinner were excellent – tasty and with a good variety. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely book here again on our way back!

Perhaps better signing at the entrance
Excelent breakfast, evening meal very good. Heating/air condition not working and staff member very quickly brought an electric radiator.

The rooms are motel-style, so you enter your room directly from the street, and the windows face the gallery where all the neighbours walk by, makes you feel intimidated, unsafe. Had to close the blinds. Reception and cafeteria are situated in a separated building. Only had 1 big bed for both, no separate beds. Far from city center, had to drive there for dinner. Nothing interesting around this location, mainly residential area.
Cozy warm bed, kettle with tea, good hot shower, hairdryer. Clean, correct. Good buffet breakfast, many choices, amazing croissants!

Not as much choice on the restaurant menu as we have had in the past. Campaniles in general need to be smartened up - they are looking rather run down. This one was noisy at night time as the local youth were about.
The restaurant is on site, so no need to look around for one in the local area. Comfortable bed.

I was unable to find the hotel, due to roadworks. I rang the hotel almost wanting to cancel. The man talked me through the way there very patiently. He was amazing. Many thanks.

Small rooms and the breakfast was not very special. The baguette was definitely not fresh. The evening meal was not very tasty, bland and the main course was microwaved because it came on the table within 5 min. Lasagna definitely takes longer and so was the chicken leg. Definitely not freshly cooked.
The beds were very comfortable, Staff very friendly and helpful

The location was OK for me with my car but public transport to the centre is complicated
Parking right in front of the room and very secure. Room had everything I needed, great bed and great breakfast! Great that TV had Chromecast, made it easy to cast a movie from Netflix on a rainy Saturday night

There are no curtains & there was a light on on the balcony which made it hard to sleep.
The room smelt & looked spotless. The beds are always so comfy at Campinole.

Booked table for dinner. We arrived in dining room and were told it was no longer available. They then found us a table but failed to take our order. After 25 minutes waiting we left and went an outside restaurant. Not good! We would not stay here again.

Breakfast price seem to be higher. Everything else was great.
All amenities were present as advertised. Free parking, air conditioning, dog friendly place, paid breakfast, good enough room for overnight stay. Staff were welcoming and flexible check-in.
