Breakfast is available upon to only 9 a.m. which is not the norm and really should be at least up to 10 a.m. Also breakfast is limited in choice considering the price charged.

The room was comfortable. Parking is an advantage. The evening restaurant offer is reasonable but limited in relation to fish choice.

A comfortable, neat hotel in a pretty locale in Bayeux, France

The hotel's vegetarian options were very limited. Although not very far from the town centre, it is a bit of a walk from the town centre (about 10 to 15 minutes) as well as the railway station (but, manageable). We walked from the station to the hotel and found it a bit tough to manage it with our bags and, so, took a cab when we returned. The curtains in the bedroom were not adequately opaque for privacy. It would have been good to have a telephone (intercom) to contact the reception. The hotel is a bit too overpriced considering the facilities provided in the rooms.

The room was of adequate size for a couple The bed was fairly comfortable The bathroom was neat The view from the room was good and the hotel's surroundings were beautiful. The restaurant is spacious, attractive and neat. The staff were helpful and courteous.

The place felt a little tired. Not the cleanest, but clean enough to get by.

Excellent location, particularly for access to Caen or visiting WW2 sites. Outskirts of Bayeux with a convenient walk in. Staff were lovely, restaurant was excellent, bed was very comfortable.

Room was dark and small with a spiral stair case. Difficult to carry suit cases up. Staff spoke very little English No servicing of room during our stay.

Well located just on the outskirts of Bayeaux, within easy walking distance to restaurants and cafes. All attractions in Bayeaux an easy walk.

The air extraction in the bathroom wasn’t great as the floor stayed wet for a long time. In the end she used the bath mat to dry it off, and we requested a dry one from reception. It’s a minor problem.

Great location to visit in and around Bayeux - it’s our second time staying at Campanile. There’s a vet next door which was useful to visit before returning to the UK with the dogs. It’s a quiet location and the beds were very comfortable - and we were grateful for the air-conditioning. My sister was in a room with the bathroom set up for disabled people which she was grateful to have as someone with mobility issues. A nice selection at breakfast and it was appreciated having access to chilled water which the staff pointed out from reception.

The rooms are small and tired and could use some decoration and revamping. Beds are just about comfortable and pillows likewise. Showers are just about OK, but the bathrooms show their age. It would be very nice if Campanile invested a little money in this hotel!

The hotel is OK - it's really situated ideally - a short stroll into Bayeux and it's many charms. The arrangement of the rooms is unusual and can lead to quite a noisy environment. We were awoken by a noisy group of elderly arrivals very late in the evening who loudly searched for their rooms for some time, which was irritating. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the one staff member we encountered was personable and helpful. The hotel's strength is its location. The view across the fields to Bayeux is really pleasant.

The hotel room was downstairs with shutters on the windows that made the room a bit dark and the light on the wall was quite dim. The bed was comfortable but the bedding could have been softer. The air conditioning did not work - fan was on all night but the room was very warm and there was no way to improve the temperature in the room.

This hotel is in a great quiet spot with secure parking and yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre. The staff on reception are lovely and helpful. Breakfast was the best we had in Normandy and we toured quite a few locations on our trip. Great fresh fruit, yoghurt and seeds/nuts etc, selection of fresh breads and pastries and crepes. Also eggs and meats and cheeses. Good tea, coffee and juices. The room had good storage and the shower was powerful.

The rooms are quiet and reasonably comfy but on the small side, and mine certainly wasn't disabled-friendly. They only offered paper cups, some of which leaked, and the choice of in-room tea and coffee was limited and poor quality. The TV only offered about 5 channels and these did not include news or weather.

The buffet-style breakfast (included) was continental but offered huge choice, and the evening menu was excellent and changed every night. A good selection of local and foreign beers and lots of wine choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location - although on the ring road we had fields of horses and cattle around us and frogs calling at night, and only a 15 minute walk to the cathedral and tapestry museum in the centre or 10 minutes along the route peripherique to the war museum, memorial and cemetery.
