Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom⸻ Me and my husband had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful place, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at ease. The location is peaceful and picturesque – perfect for a relaxing getaway – and everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully prepared.

The decor was lovely throughout. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and very good. Like has been said before by others, don’t be put off by the outside condition of the building - the inside is lovely.

United StatesThe bed was a bit concave in the center. Likely needs to be replaced.
Great location within walking distance to restaurants, sightseeing, and general area. The maison is a large home old home that has been tastefully restored and updated. The hotel room and bathroom is very large and I had a room that looked out over the old town wall and cathedral. There is little to no noise from the street as the property sits on a smaller street. Parking is available in front of the property and you are given a key for the front door and room to come and go as you please. Breakfast was wonderful and healthy with many choices. The staff are wonderful and provided several recommendations for restaurants and coffee shops.

United KingdomOutside of hotel / guest house was not inviting, but once inside were very pleasantly surprised. Parking situation needs to be clearer - no private parking.
Wonderful location just outside the wall of the old town with view of Cathedral. Charming host, who had renovated the old building to a high standard himself, during Covid. Very helpful and friendly. Full buffet continental breakfast laid out, although we only actually wanted croissants (more please!). Provided a corkscrew in our hour of need after early evening arrival. Host spoke very good English, although too polite to say so whilst I struggled with my rusty French. No private parking, but managed to park in street opposite without problem. Would advise against staying with mobility issues, a lot of stairs to upper bedrooms on 2 floors. 3 double/twin bedrooms and 1 family room, with original features. Made a lovely change from staying at the modern Ibis nearby, as we have always done in the past. Thank you Thomas!

Great location near the historic part of town, but only a short walk to the main shopping areas. This is a lovely guest house which has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are stylishly decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom has everything you need with a superb shower. Nice breakfast with a good selection. Would definitely stay again if we visit this area again.

United KingdomThe bedroom was a little cool when we arrived and the radiator in the bedroom didn’t seem to warm up but the radiator in the bathroom compensated.
Great location near the old town. Beautiful town house, tastefully decorated with a large en-suite bedroom and a very comfortable bed! The Continental Breakfast was simple but there was a nice selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurt, cheese and charcuterie with very good fresh bread and croissants. We enjoyed our stay very much.

United KingdomWe stayed in the large front room 2nd floor( April flower)...lovely, a beautiful view of the Basilica . Had it not been winter( windows closed) the traffic noise was horrible late into the night. We would stay in one of the equally lovely back rooms.
Thomas was a very good, attentive host. I asked for extra pillows as I was suffering from a cough...he supplied them. Good bathroom, plenty of hot water! The breakfast each morning was plentiful, continental meats/cheese fresh bread & croissants, cereals & yoghurt. Even homemade rice pudding! Everywhere was spotlessly clean & tastefully decorated. Thomas was responsible for the whole renovation of this beautiful building.
